"It's the Martell way," Aurora said with a melodic laugh, "And I won't be staying long either, I assure you, I've other things to do. Did your grace have anything else?"

"Only to suggest that you ask your husband to help you find your father's killer."

Aurora smiled, "But of course."

"Perhaps I have someone who can help, but I am sure Milo is up to the task," Rhaenys commented. "He may be able to seek his grandmother's advice too."

"She is such a dear woman. But difficult to read." Aurora shivered, "My father held many long talks with me about her exploits." Her smile turned sultry, "And not all of them involved intrigue."

"I don't suppose they would," Rhaenys answered with a laugh. "I have a similar impression of Lady Bettley myself. I am sure that she and Milo between them will be able to bring the swift hand of justice to bear upon your father's killer. I wonder that they have not managed it already."

Aurora shrugged, "My own resources are quite capable, and like your self I do not need a man to accomplish my duties. And justice in this case will be my most pleasurable duty."

Rhaenys noded solemnly.
"You have my blessing to do all that is necessary to catch your father's killer and to deal with him as appropriate. Incidentally...I wonder if you would favour me with your opinion of another similar matter?"

Aurora nodded, "Please go on."

Rhaenys turned troubled eyes on Aurora.
"My cousin Maekar was murdered whilst in the Iron Islands and Lord Roxton with him. Lord Greyjoy claimed Mandermen were responsible but I rather suspected the former rebel Lord Farwynd, who now appears to be a friend to Greyjoy. Alas, I can do nothing without proof. Have you any thoughts on the matter?"

"I know the Ironborn mind is different then ours, but as always I ask who gains?" Aurora replied running a finger along the edge of her full lip. "Does Lord Farwynd gain from killing these two men? Or does Lord Greyjoy? Or does some one else gain by having you think that? It is a world of shadows we live in, and look not at the shadows but who casts them to understand it."

"Yes. Well, I thought at first that it was a simple threat to my rule made by Farwynd. I do not see how else he gains from killing my men. Greyjoy...well, all I can guess at is that if it was him it had something to with the Shields, since the Mander lords contest Ironborn possession of those isles. The same rule would apply to the Mander lrods themselves, of course, but I do not think they would choose to act . I am confident that the influence of Lord Dawnrose and Lady Oakheart is sufficient to keep the Mander loyal to me. So...Farwynd or Greyjoy." rhaenys sighed.
"I don't know. It grieves me to leave such a crime unpunished but, where there is no evidence, what is a woman to do?"

"There is always an option left open. My father would have simply eliminated them. There are knives for hire even in the Iron Islands." Aurora replied, "Myself I would be more cautious. I hate making mistakes of that sort."

"And I. I don't want to kill a man who may be innocent," Rhaenys sighed. "That would make me as bad as the unknown killers. I need proof before I can act."

"There will be no proof for something like this. If it was the Ironborn finding the men who committed the act will only help a little, they will not turn in either men to your justice." Aurora replied, "You would need them to brag about it to a friend. Would that be enough to order one of their deaths?"
