Talyn Thatcher, and twenty of his Sons arrive at Maidenpool, by horse. He quickly moves to the harbor, and approaches the sentries. He proceeds to show them a letter from the Hand, and asks to be escorted to Ser Jon Waters.

"Ser Jon, pleasure to make your acquaintance," Talyn said, as he handed the man the letter from the Lord Hand,
"I don't mean to step on any toes, I just happened to be in the area, and the Lord Hand asked me to come by and help out."

Jon read the letter slowly, and then looked up at Thatcher, "What does this mean?"

"It means I have the command for the nonce," Talyn said, "Not meant to be a reflection on you, probably just some confusion further up the chain of command. In any case you're the naval man, I'm quite content to supervise. And I'd like you to continue to draw your wages at the command level, a little mix up in paperwork is no reason why you shouldn't continue to draw your due."

The knight bowed his head. "Of course. Thank you for the error."

"Alright. I'd like to double the sentries while we're here in port, just to be on the safe side. Hopefully this nonsense will be sorted out and Lord Drumm will be back in command shortly. Unless you have something for me Ser Jon, that'll be all for now."

"That is all." He replied.

"Very well, your dismissed Ser. Let me know if there are any problems."
Talyn waited for the man to leave, than dispatched his Traitors' Sons throughout the shore patrols to keep an eye out for trouble.

Two Traitors' Sons, and several Crown sailors, escort the man into the stateroom aboard Rodrick's Prowess.
"Lord Osgrey, you are rather far from home," Talyn said with a dour look over a ledger listing names and wages of sailors and soldiers.

"I am no lord," Brandon said. "My father is Lord of Standfast and Coldmoat. I am his heir. The queen sent word that I was to come."
