The captain of the Crown Warship Rodrick's Prowess , signalled the fifty ship armada to hold its position off the coast, as Talyn Thatcher came onto deck. Taking the myrish lens from the captain, he surveyed the coastline, looking for signs of a cult presence and its defenders.

There are two piers on the beach, and along both sides a great many boats are tied up. The Beach is also covered with boats as well. The boats come in all varieties; skiffs, fishing boats, grain barges, and pleasure yachts. No warships though.

"What's the probability those are fire ships set to burn our fleet?" Talyn asked aloud.
"I've no idea milord, I suppose its possible," the Captain suggested.
"That was a rhetorical question Captain, but thank you." Talyn said with a grunt.
"send two ships in as scouts, with ten more in reserve. The two ships should close, and attempt to land at the pier, than signal fly a blue flag if it is safe to land, a red flag will indicate an emergency, and to move away at full speed. The other ten ships should than disembark, and land their men and create a beach head, than immediately clear the area. continue landing ships ten at a time until the full force is on the island. Than move a safe distance away and drop anchor."
The Captain set to work relaying the orders as Talyn focused the lense and continued to watch.

The two ships approach, and then raise a blue flag. So Ten more ships land and create a beachhead easily.
Clearly there will be no fight at the beachhead.

Talyn landed in the second wave, and set about organizing their lines. When the full grouping of 2,500 had safely arrived, he ordered the scouts to move ahead and identify any enemy positions before advancing the rest of the force.

It takes the scouts about three hours to scout and they return they report that the island is small and sparsely wooded. There is a walled outpost around a small village, but there appears to be no movement inside of the barred gates. Or for that matter anywhere on the island at all.

Talyn nodded, and ordered the outpost cautiously surrounded. Than, raising the banner of Queen Rhaenys and another rainbow flag of truce, he approached the gates on horseback with a small staff, careful to remain outside of what should be bow range.
"Hello! Is there anyone there!?"

The sound of silence is his only reply.

Talyn gestured for a unit to come forward and breach the gate, followed by a full assault to secure the outpost.

The gate was breached, and then they men swarm through the town. There is no resistance, no people.

Talyn ordered his officers to organizes three units. one team will be looking for any correspondence, letters, books or maps which may indicate where the cult members are, or where they went. The second team will look for any evidence of when the cultists left, or where they went to, including any evidence of secret tunnels, trapdoors, tracks, evidence of uneaten meals, or unfinished tasks, anything that suggests they left in a hurry. The third team will provide security while the searching is underway.

Lots of correspondence is found, but nothing of consequence when time is given to reading it.
There is a large manor in the center of town plagued with secret doors, and tunnels. A mean runs for Thatcher informing him that five men went down a well in the basement and they did not return back up.

Talyn will organize the remaining men into a cordon surrounding the manor, with another cordon about a mile outside of the town in case there are escape tunnels. Then he will go into the well, with a handful of Traitor's Sons with torches and swords (or flails in his case) drawn.

Slowly lowering himself down, he stares down a long dark, seemingly naturally crafted tunnel. A man must bend over almost double to fit. Lying just in torch light down the tunnel is a doll with two button eyes.
