Talyn shrugged, "I am not a man who is used to invoking minimal emotion Lord Tully. Most men react rather strongly, one way or the other to me." He shrugged.

Oswell glanced at him, "If you recall, he is not the only man to deprive you of such a response. I myself never showed hatred of love for you when first we met...in fact that was this very day." Oswell smiled, "Some men decide to get to know a man first before deciding whether to love or hate him. Perhaps this Owen Lannister is one such man."

Talyn nodded, "of course I didn't marry your betrothed either Lord Tully."

Oswell nodded a sly smile on his face. "Perhaps not, but he gets to enjoy the lovely Ariel instead." Oswell chuckled, "I see you point, you have gotten the better end of the deal, that is certain. But he is still marrying a Targaryen princess. With the way his father disrespects the queen he should be lucky to have that much. Though I do hope he does not take after Tyberion, it will not due to have two lions at our throats. Speaking of your marriage, how are you and Princess Kyma getting on? I had not had time to offer my congratulations, so now I do."

Talyn nodded, "Ah, yes, well I've certainly no room to judge a man based on his father's reputation." he chuckled also, "As for Kyma and I, we are well, and expecting."

Oswell smiled widely, "Well congratulations again, I am happy for both of you. And you are right to not judge a man by his fathers deeds. As you say, you are proof enough of that. Though for a time I thought you had betrayed us, I am glad you did not. You are a valuable and loyal man. You do our cause good."

Talyn bowed his head, humbled, "You are too kind Lord Tully, truly."

"I am kind to those deserving of it. You are a good man, despite what some may whisper of you where none can hear. And you have a fine wife," Oswell says with a laugh.

Talyn nodded, "On that count at the minimum I must plead guilty. I can not tell you how glad I am that I was not married for reasons of state."

"You are among the few whom has married to their choosing. Though the circumstances were not ideal, the result is the same. You and Kyma are happy together, even I can see that. The best I can hope for is to learn to love whomever I am wed to. But we al make the best of what we have I suppose."

Talyn nodded, "Well I wish you well in your efforts to do the same Lord Tully, although if she came with wealth and men-at-arms rather than charm, it would be the better for the cause, still, we can hope for both."

"At the moment I am aiming for the latter, so long as the Queen makes good on her word I have little to worry about. Though I fear I will have a contender, which does not surprise me. It seems my bride-to-be has gone missing however, a most troubling fact to learn. My men are searching for her even now, as are the Queen's no doubt. We shall see how it ends, I do not wish to be pushed aside again. These lords of Summer they deserve more than those of us who saved their sorry asses, and I have made it clear I do not mean to sit back while they take the plunder."
Oswell smiled, "Excuse me my anger. The past weeks have been stressful to say the least."

Talyn shook his head, "No you are quite right to be angry, Lord Tully. I am disgusted by those who are NOT angry at the present situation. These... Was it Lords of Summer you called them," Talyn said, smiling at the expression, "Yes. In many ways I find them more contemptible than the Cultists. In the battle between right and wrong... at least the cultists picked a side, rather than waiting for the dust to settle to pick the bones."

Obara answered, laughing. "It was all for the best, then. If it hadn't been for Jeyne's exile she wouldnt be serving in the Queensguard now and I wouldn't be chief lady-in-waiting to Her Grace. Iwould be pleased to introduce you to the Queen if you wish it. "I... would like that." He watched Rhaenys enter. "She has a natural dignity. Is that all Targaryens or only the sane ones?"

"They all have it, I believe," Obara said. "But I've never met a mad Targaryen so I cannot be sure. Her Grace was raised from childhood as the eldest daughter of the King and Queen, so it's no surprise that she is possessed of such dignity. I will introduce you at the dinner after the ceremony."
