As the armies arrive, Euric finds himself riding near that westerner Milo. With a grin he approaches him. "Well, looks like we're finally here."

Milo yawned as he studied Euric, "True enough. You that pauper they marrying a princess too?"

"Ah, pauper! That is one I haven't heard yet." Euric answered brightly. "True, I am not very popular with... well, anyone. Might be what made me speak to you."

Milo nodded sagely "I am glad you have come to me for advice. There are three simple rules for getting people to like you. The first one is to look good." He studied Euric's features, "Fix your hair, grow a beard to hide your face, and dress better and you will have the one cleared up. Number two is be funny... you may be screwed there. Tell a joke."

Euric chuckles. "It seems you are quite able at telling jokes yourself. A beard?" He looked skeptically amused. "Though I fear the books I've been reading have drained all the humor from me. Please, be so free as to enlighten me on the subject of humor."

Milo sighed, "It is not something that can be learned. The third is the easiest, but most people fail miserably. You must not care if anyone likes you at all. For if they think you care, they despise you." He yawned and stroked his beard.

"Ah! At least that I can do." Euric answers with feigned triumph. "To be honest, it matters little as long as I have the Queen's ear. Tell me master Milo, what kind of man is your lord? Certain issues prevented the two of us from ever actually meeting."

"You mean my lady." Milo waved a hand in a calming gesture, "Do not worry, I will not tell the old bird that you though she was a man."

Euric laughs. "Ah, one of your famous jokes!" He shakes his head with mirth. "As a matter of fact, I felt lord Lannister might be offended meeting the man who 'stole' his son's potential bride."

Milo chuckled, "I do not think you know him very well if you think anything offended Tyberion. If he really wanted Owen to marry Alysanne he would have removed the obstacle. No, he wanted the Queen to tell him no to a reasonable command."

"I see; well, then I will not have to be living with this tremendous guilt anymore." He grinned. "And he is truly happy with Ariel?"

"Of course... her network was focused on King's Landing, and the Crownlands. I mean she had some resources spread through the Reach, West, Stormlands and Dorne; but since her target was the Cult her men were mostly focused here. Where Thatcher ruled." Milo replied, and studied the buildings, and waved to the crowds.

"I must say, I feel a little sorry of Owen Lannister. I know our Queen's cousin and she isn't... well, you would know. Although I guess the man always knew he'd marry politically."

Milo nodded, "It is a duty that none of us can escape." He snickered, "Well almost none of us."
