Rhaenys frowned. She knew what she was about to suggest wouldn't please everyone. It required a certain type of man to do it.
"Headsman. I've had two already but the first became Master of Laws when the previous holder of that title was murdered. The second, my cousin, was severely wounded in battle. What do you think?"

Ned's face remained stoic. This wasn't the job he was expecting, but it wouldn't be good at this point to refuse her.
"Headsman. Yes, I believe I could do that, Your Grace."

She smiled at him.
"Excellent. I hope not to have to order any executions for a while so you will be free to serve as any other knight would until that day comes. Are you aware that as the Queen's Justice you will one day have responsibility for the prisoners at the Red Keep?"
