A lithe man in crushed blue velvet with an elaborate mask of feathers approaches Aranya Royce and asks her to dance, snapping her from her dark reverie.

Aranya began prowling through the crowds of brightly colored guests. She was so silent that several people were startled into spilling their drinks.
When the lithe man in blue asked her to dance, she smiled evilly and took his hand.

Jaeharys spotted Aranya, and seeing no one else available to dance walked up to her. "Does the wildling bitch want to dance?"

As Aranya took the blue man's hand, she heard Commander Jaeharys. She gave him a hard smile. "Wildling bitches tell assholes to mind their tongues."

Elena replies, "To not have a child is a takes even greater toll on a widow." She stares wistfully at Aranya, "I wish I had a son who had Jayson's eyes."
She closes her eyes and seems to shake a little before adding, "I can talk with her if you would like. I can not say anything that will ease the grief, but I can let her know that eventual it fades."

The blue clad gentleman spins Aranya gracefully. He is a masterful dancer, flowing in perfect time to the music, anticipating each flight of melody and helping Aranya move as if she were without burden.

"It might be good if someone with the same burden spoke to her. I feel loss, but it is the same loss, so it is hard for me to bring comfort to her. Please share whatever wisdom you have with her -- I fear she feels alone." "Though that popinjay seems determined to give her company," he says, gesturing at the foppish man leading her on the dance floor. "I wonder if I know him."

Jaeharys shrugged, and found a Florent maiden looking wistfully at him. Taking her hand "Rhaegar" led her out on to the dancefloor.

Piers laughs at the Velaryon, "Master Jaehrys, I would love to share a dance with such a strong man as yourself." he winks lewdly.
Piers spins Becca around gracefully whispering to her, "I can see Rhod is no pleasure to dance with, so I must step in to give you what pleasure I can." He then laughs.

Aranya admired the blue-clad man's dancing, keeping in perfect beat with him even as the music reached its crescendo. "Who do I have the pleasure of dancing with?" she asked, cocking her head at him. "It's rather fun guessing. You're not my uncle Robar, are you?"

Becca smiles under her mask. "But he has tried so hard to learn the steps! I must at least pretend he is a wonder on the dance floor. Truthfully, he dances like a soldier -- with every step, he is trying to gain advantage on his enemy."

Aranya was still trying to guess who her mysterious partner was. "Jon?" she asked suspiciously. "Beaumarin?"

Aranya can tell he is smiling as he speaks. "Surely you have at least some graceful kin you can confuse me for." OOC: Unfortunately, I've got to go.

"I wondered if you were Jon," Aranya said. "He's a graceful little pup."

Piers laughs delightedly, "Since it is just between us girls, I imagine he is the same in the bed chamber?" He grins wickedly. "Or are his matress tactics more imaginative?"
