Aranya dutifully offers them wine. She smiles politely, but her eyes are dark and seem to pierce them.

ooc: No, though I thought about having Urri and Yohn here...it is actually Brendyn (thus his small size), three children sneaking downstairs for the party

OOC: Wait, I forgot that there are armed guards watching them. Let's say Brynden isn't with them. He's only two. So it's just Rhae and Petra, and Brynden and Lewyn upstairs with the guards.
Rhae looked at all the gorgeously costumed guests, glittering and sparkling as they danced. Her eyes were round. "I want to be a lady and wear those gowns and I want feathers and flowers around my mask!"

Erik moved into the Masquerade ball dressed in simple Hedge Knights armor with a chipped and simple iron sword at his hip. He did not wish to be here but the King would be here and he must not stand out so he donned what he knew best, a Warrior. Taking a glass of wine he stands next to the table and pretends to drink the vintage.

The Kraken lifts his mask slightly to sip a glass of wine. Those nearby are remarkably unsurprised to recognise Balor Greyjoy underneath it.
Balor studies the figures of those around him. He is a little perturbed by all of the people wearing the gold masks of Lance Sands and keeps his hand close to his left hip when they pass by.

Aranya eyed Lord Balor as he lifted his mask to drink.
"I saw your son the other day," she said coolly. "Your youngest?"

After the lovely dance with Lilith, Piers flits about trying to get a man to dance with him.

Balor started at being addressed. He glanced across to the wildling woman he noticed earlier. He sketches a slight bow and replies "You are referring to Urri, I presume? How is he becoming accustomed to life in....such a large place". Aranya could tell that the last sentence was not what was originally intended.

The man in mother-of-pearl mask bows extravagantly at the 'lady' in the blue gown and goes down to one knee to implore a dance in an outrageous falsetto voice.

"Life in the green lands? Remarkably badly. The Hand's son and Lord Piers' daughter found him in the godswood of the Red Keep. Apparently he fell out of a tree while talking to them. And before that he was asking them not to kill him. Not much of an ironborn, is he? More like a cheesecloth, I'd say."

Balor's face goes cold and unforgiving. "He is my son". He says somewhat stiffly. "I had hoped a few years at sea would put salt in his veins but thanks to the King, he will be raised in the weak ways of you greenlanders, unless I can prevent it. I have established a 'presence' in Kings Landing to remind the boy of his heritage. And to remind others of theirs..." his voice trails off in thought.

Piers accepts and offers the man a merry dance, laughing in a high pitched giggle. As they finish Piers remarks, "And to think I am almost entirely sober."

"I don't think our greenland ways are as weak as some," Aranya smiled. "Although the riverlanders are quite weak, the way they chased you back to sea. Your boy might get steel and fire in his veins, though he might not get the salt.
"Or you could send him to Highgarden, and he'd come back with wine coming out of his teats and bread from his arse. Nice rosy bread."

Halon smiles "As I am Lord Bettley. It dull's the wits, does it not?" he bowed with a sweeping motion and kissed his hand. "I thank you for the dance" he said with a wink and a laugh and went off to mingle with the other guests.

Piers walks over and kisses his wife deeply, running his hands over her, after it ends he winks and says, "Just had to make sure. That dance was nice." He winked.
