Petra and Yohn danced remarkably well together, though it was never clear who was leading who. They seemed to negotiate each new dance.
After they discovered Rhae asleep under the table, they went out to the garden to the weirwood. Petra was proud of how it had grown.

Yohn pulls out a piece of charcoal and draws a strange and misshapen face on the tree. "I think I'll carve one like that for this tree. When it is big enough."

"It looks sad," said Petra. "Is it really sad?" she sounded a little wistful. She wanted her tree to be happy.

"The Old Gods are sad, sad and angry that the stupid Andals ruin Westeros with their war, and fire, and axes," Yohn explains.
"But I like axes."

Another figure of indeterminate gender, dressed in a deep maroon cloak trimmed with feathers and a full face mask of a predatory bird walks up to Princess Emelia and in a whisper asks her to dance. She or he is remarkably good dancer, following Emelia's lead when she moves first, and leading confidently when Emelia decided to play a more passive role.

"I like axes too," said Petra, "But I like arrows and daggers and even swords better. Still," she said contemplatively, "An axe is probably good for carving stuff like the faces waiting to get out."
ooc: off to bed, gnight!

Callen watched as Tallahar walked into the hall and made a fool of himself. "Oh my fuc-" he cut himself off when he saw Anya smiling wryly.
Jaeharys exited the the main hall with the Florent girl at his side, chatting at him happily, although truth be told he hadn't heard a word.

Jorah sat at a table enjoying some wine, while a crying girl sat right beside him. She was some noble's daughter, and had been turned down by Jaeharys Velaryon. When she finally left Constance Stone, who was dressed as a mockingbird, came and sat by him. "Well? Why didn't you take advantage of the girl? It's been a long time since you had a good fuck, you could use it to with that look on your face."
Jorah sipped his wine, trying his best to ignore Constance. "She was tolerable; but not handsome enough to tempt me; and I am in no humour at present to give consequence to young ladies who are slighted by other men..."

Elena walked back up to Rhodri, "Sorry for following you around like a puppy dog, but I really know almost no one here. Of course that is even more complicated by the fact they are all wearing masks. I talked with Aranya, she seems a lot better then I was at the same time." She motions toward Becca Arryn, "Who is that your wife is dancing with?"

"Ah, that is Beaumarin the Beauty, a singer and friend of my brother's. Friend of mine as well, I suppose, though I hope he doesn't become too friendly with my wife. He does have a reputation," Rhodri says, smiling.

Elena laughed politely, "It seems sometimes all we have are men with that kind of reputation around. I prefer men of more substance, even if they are a little clumsily tongued. Jayson was in love with me for two months before he ever said my name."
She smiles warmly at the memory, "I shouldn't be too harsh though. Piers was the personification of that reputation before Lilith leashed him. And even with that reputation he was more a brother to me then my own." Elena face darkens a little with that last statement.
