Even before the great tourney of King's Landing is announced, commoners start setting up benches and huge green and gold pavilions.

Knowing that a great many knights will travel in from the Vale, the Hand has his men start assembling a Valeman quarter along the tourney grounds, with sky blue pennons, great pavilions of bronze, of blue, of white, with stripes and colors of all the great Vale houses represented.
Lord Arryn also has a traditional longhall hastily built, and announces that he will host a feast the night before the tourney for the victorious returning lords and knights. Two men of the Reach -- Lord Barret Tyrell and Lord Tallahar Tyrell -- receive invitations to be guests of honor for their noteworthy valor.

A general air of excitement is in the air at the prospect of the tourney, but several Blackwood levies murmur darkly about pompous lords celebrating before the war is won.

Mad Alliser found Ser Felwick Gower. "I've been training a bull."

Gower snorts. "I am a fucking bull. Just wait until I lock horns in this tourney. Then I'll go gore some Braavosi waterlilies."

Mad Alliser smiled evilly and led Ser Felwick into a barn. Inside the largest stall was a large, snorting black bull. A strange saddle hung on his stall door.
"I've been practicing," Ser Alliser laughed. "I want to gore some Kingsguard! Ser Erik?" There was a gleam in his eye.
Then he bowed. "Where are my manners? Would you like an apple, ser?" There was a sack of apples hanging by the stall door, apparently for Ser Alliser and his bull. Alliser offered one to Ser Felwick with elaborate courtesy, as if it was a sceptre.

"You're mad," Gatehouse Gower says, as he eats the apple. "The Hand will have your hide if you try to ride that thing under his name."

"I will ride it nevertheless," Ser Alliser said, eating his apple. "Horses don't understand me."
"His name is "Lemoncake", by the way, not 'thing'. He's sensitive about that."
Lemoncake snorted.

"No one bloody understands you, not even the drunken wastrels in Fleabottom," Gower says.

"Lemoncake understands me," Alliser said, wounded. "And you. Who would have thought? I am understood by two bulls!" He laughed loudly.

Lilith Royce, Lady Bettley, remembering what happened at the last tournament in King's Landing, arranges a medical tent to be set up by the edge of the tourney ring. All contestants would receive immediate medical care.

Mad Alliser challenges knights to duels and spars furiously, with an evil, manic gleam in his eye.

Randal arrives with what looks like a small host, as he has kept a good deal of his troops with him from the war in the North. When asked why, Randal only responds by telling people to go tell Tallahar Tyrell to leave, and then he will pull out his force.
The Lannister's set up camp near the city.
ooc: A couple thousand men, no more. Dont worry, Randal just still has a argument to settle, and wont go anywhere without a fricken huge bodyguard unless Tall leaves.

Ser Nathan Beesbury rides down to the area and annouces to the crowds of people that he is pleased to proclaim the Warden Tallahar Tyrell will be competing in this Tourney for the glory and peace of the realm. With that Ser Nathan turns around and rides back to the Red Keep.

Randal makes a speech to his men stating that he and his 'elite unit of knights' will win the tourney, and that no Reachmen will take honnor in this tourney.
