I'm just suffering from a bit of confusion in the Stormlands situation, mainly with regard to the Redroyce, and I was hoping either he or Crake could clear the sitch up.
Is Redroyce the Lord Paramount, or Dondarrion? And if the latter, is Redroyce a Targaryen vassal or Dondarrion?

The way I understand it is Dondarrion is Lord Paramount, but since his injury he has been an invalid and has allowed Redroyce to take more and more responsabilities.

Ah. Alright. So where does the Redroyce stand in terms of his vassalage (that is, are his lands Crown lands as it seems to be implied, and thus he's a Targaryen bannerlord)?

Of that I am not sure, I think they are. They were given to him by the King. But they are also technically part of the Stormlands so who knows.

Isn't the point of Westeros that everyone is a vassal of the King? Dorne obviously not as things stand but everyone else has sworn fealty to King Aegon (and now Aemon). With Dondarrion incapacitated, Rhodri rules the Stormlands in all but name I'd say.

Dondarrion has mostly healed since his accident years ago. Rhodri just rules Storm's End, and is a direct vassal of Dondarrion, who is in turn a vassal of the King.

What Crake said. I've never been Lord Paramount, that's always been Dondarrion. Though as ruler of Storm's End it's no stretch to say I'm fairly influential.

Alright. It says that Storm's End is "held by the Crown," not by the Royces, so I wondered on the subject of it being Targaryen or Dondarrion lands.

Yeah, I think the "held by the Crown" is a holdover from before the Redroyce was appointed Lord -- originally he was Castellan, and the castle was officially held by the crown.
