Falatir mouth quirks at the edges, "Lady Tilda, how devious you are. Hoping your beauty would blind me to a clearly shrewd business maneuver. The value may increase, may. But the coin you will make off such an endeavor will be great."
He drinks from his glass, "I can not simply let you make so much off of my property because your smile makes my heart beat so fast. No I am afraid I need to be recompensed in pure and equal manner."

Lord Horas and Lady Jenny Blackwood enter the queen's ballroom. The two make their way over to where Aerie is standing.
Horas nods pleasantly to Lady Elena and Lord Piers, then turns to Aerie. "When you have a moment, Aerie, we should speak."

Piers smiles at Horas, "But my friend, I though there were no secrets between us anymore."

Aerie rolled her eyes drolly at Piers and gave Elena an empathetic smile. “Always. It seems I can’t walk five steps without be—.” She cut off when she saw Horas and his new wife striding towards them. She fought the overwhelming urge to run as far away as possible. “Here’s something to tend to that now,” she muttered darkly, slapping an airy grin upon her face.
“Horas, Lady Jenny, it pains me that I’ve missed your marriage. I hope it was as ‘festive’ as I had imagined?” She continued to regard her uncle unconcernedly. “I suppose we should. I always have a moment to spare.” Her heart began thumping heavily against her chest, snarling against her blithe demeanor.
"There will be no secrets between us, Lord Piers Bettley, the day pigs fly."

"I was speaking to Horas, Aerie. We had made a deal. I thought." Piers smiles warmly.
Elena listened shook her head and rolled her eyes, before adding, "Let us speak so vaguely that no one will know of which we speak, to make our image even more cryptic and musterious." She waved her hands around like a magician as she glared at Piers.

“I know to whom you spoke,” she said with a savage smile. “Us was a collective term for Horas and myself. I think you also know why I would include myself in you and Horas’s business. You are such a clever man, after all.”
She giggled at Elena, shooting her an agreeable look. “Where have you been all my life, Lady Elena?”

Horas looks at Piers, "Of course not, Lord Bettley. We should speak after the ball; I am sure we will both be interested in each other's findings. I am afraid I must talk with Aerie first, however."
"Our marriage was quite festive, Aerie," Horas ignores her tone. Jenny smiles and says, "It is a pity you couldn't come, Aerie. The ceremony was beautiful."
Horas walks with Aerie to a secluded corner of the ball and speaks quietly. "Tell me, Aerie. What did you learn on your voyage?"

Elena smiles at Aerie, "Cooped up in Casterly Rock, under my father's vigilant gaze. I hope to talk with you again."
Piers begins to politely flirt with Jenny Blackwood while watching the conversation of Aerie and Horas.

Aerie blinked at him innocently, inhaling to give herself time to think. “Well, I’ve learned that next time I want to go somewhere, I’ll stick to horseback and forsake the allure of sea-travel. Those towns also have some lovely inns,” she chirruped on brazenly. “I was quite surprised. Overall, I would say some people there are rather adept at keeping their mouths shut.”

"Is that so?" Horas says. He takes a sip of wine, his eyes studying Aerie's face. "Even from your considerable charms?"

“Perhaps my charms became ill on the ship,” she said dismissively, her smile slipping slightly. “No one was very forthcoming, unfortunately. Someone who worked for our dear friend is currently employed by Lord Piers. Perhaps the man may know something of importance?”

"Perhaps..." Horas repeats, but he is frowning slightly. He does not speak again for a few moments, then says quietly, "What are you holding back from me, Aerie?"

Looking him in the eye she says, "And what do you consider 'pure and equal'?"

A tall man, dressed in a silk tunic in the sky blue livery of House Arryn, enters quietly. His hair is red and he has about a week old beard. He is handsome in a warriors way but has only one hand. He keeps close to the wall, and eats no food, simply observing.

Anselm Flowers of the Kingsguard recognizes him and goes to quietly greet him. "I was very sorry to hear about the death of your brother. A fine man who I worked with on many occasion in the Black Shields."
