"Is this how you high lords live?" she murmured dryly, but the others barely heard her.

"I'm accusing you of attempted murder, you little shit," Kennos says. He turns to Piers Bettley. "I'll have either a trial or a trial by combat. I don't care which, but I will have one."

Steffon stands with his arms crossed, eyeing Kennos, "I've not had the time to attempt any such thing, Kennos. I've been in the Training yard, or else here within the Keep and preparing for my departure in the morning."

Mally exchanged a glance with Alyssa. They had both seen Ser Kennos knock Ser Erik down in the training yard.

Piers smiles wryly, "And as a point of law only The King, The Hand or the Master of Laws could grant you a trial by either means. So you will have to ask one of them. Shall we travel to The Twins then, it would be a glorious trip."

How one could be so calm in the current situation, one has to wonder. "Erik, this man obviously has something against the Baratheon line, perhaps I should chagre him with treason?"

"Steffen treason, really? That would be a preposterous claim. To throw that word around would be dangerous and unwise. Almost suicidal so." Piers chuckles, "And Erik you should learn to control the volume of your voice, this is castle children are sleeping in some of these rooms."

"Perhaps so Piers, yet you did not hear him in the training yard. Seems he cares not very much for out current King, or his kin. If he shall throw claims of murder at me and staining my name, I shall do so likewise."
