Alyssa rose from her chair, a dry smile upon her lips. “Your brother speaks of honor and mercy, my lord, but it seems you play at a different game.” She paused eyes amber and comical. “My initial opinion of you has not been changed, but rather reinforced.” She stroked her collarbone idly, her meaning clear.
“Your servant appears worried. Is everything all right?”

A nod follows Alyssa's question, "Everything is quite fine...Just a little...Bump on the road of some plans I had. You've yet to tell me though what your opinion of me is, and as for Honor and Mercy, the latter is for the weak and Honor is for fools too full of themselves." He watched her rise from her seat warily, and rose with her, "Are you taking your leave, M'lady?"

Mally was gazing at Willem Carron. He had been lurking around her house earlier that day.

“Ah, wise words,” she said vaguely. “What is your philosophy then? Paving as many ‘roads’ as possible, perhaps?”
“I prefer standing, to be honest. And I’ve stated my views. Something involving throats, I think, but I have a notoriously poor memory.”

"The more roads available, the more paths to take and hopefully shorter ways of arriving at your destiniation." He strides to the fire and places a log on it, and turns back, "So you think I am cold-hearted and ruthless?"
Willem nods to Mally, seeing her watching him, "Miss? Something I can help you with? You seem to be staring at me so, that I am afraid your gaze will burn a hole right through me."

"You're so handsome, I couldn't help myself," Mally smiled. "Did I see you in the reception room of my house today? But you weren't with one of my girls, if I recall."

“Some roads can be treacherous to walk,” she replied simply, observing him with scrupulous eyes. “I don’t think it matters what I think. It’s what you are that’s important. My lord,” she added carelessly.

Willem's expression was much like Steffon's, blank and not betraying emotion. "Indeed I was there...Waiting for someone."
Steffon smiles, for once whole heartidly, yet briefly. The expression a rather startling one, "I ask what you think, and there for it matters. Would you prefer me as I am, or like my brother his Highness?"

"Not for me?" Mally teased. "Nor for my girls? But this is unforgivable."

"I was...I had something to do other than allow myself the indulgences you offer." Willem spoke slowly, catching himself before he spoke too much.

"But now you must tell me," Mally said. "This is most unfair. We are a house of poor defenseless women, and it is very frightening if men conduct business there that we do not know about."

Willem shrugs, "I am sure you shall find out through the normal route news travels. Gossip."

"Oh love," Mally sighed. "Why can't you gossip to me now?"

Alyssa followed their exchange with interest, a grim smile twitching at her lips. “Lord Steffon, it would appear that you are keeping something from us. Would you not do us the small mercy of enlightenment, if only to put a woman’s heart at ease? As to your question, my mother always said, ‘Everything in moderation.’”

Steffon sits in his seat, "Simply a man I was trying to assassinate lived, is all my ladies."
