Talyn moved forward to the great man, and put his good hand out onto his shoulders.
"I am truly sorry Ustice."

Ustice weeps, and then blows his nose loudly against his tunic's sleeve.

Red Mills nodded, "He did, right before he swore me to secrecy... or was it after. Fuck it all if I can remember." "I see. Well as the Hand is not here. Prince Aegon has asked me to accompany him to Harrenhal where he goes to assist Queen Rhaenys. I assume he has left you in command. I would therefore like your permission to take my men and proceed south with my uncle."

Mills began to breath in deep gasps, "She.... was... so... pretty..." "It is an abominable crime," Talyn said, beginning to feel a little awkward and unsure of what else he could do. Duty had required breaking the news to the man, who'd been an able captain for these many long years. And Talyn didn't know how he'd have felt to lost someone he cared so deeply for. Having someone who fit that description was still too new of an experience. So he said nothing, only nodded sympathetically and waited for the man to get a hold of himself.

A half hour passed before Mills turned to Talyn and said, "get the fuck out."

Redfort and his riders arrive to Selwyn's camp. It felt good to be back in the presence of the man he swore to serve.
He lowered himself off his horse and ran a hand over his head. His eyes narrowed in search of where Selwyn's tent was and he walked toward it with long steps. His squire hobbled along next to him with his weapon.

"Good day, I have just returned from the Vale. Ryen Redfort Lord of Redfort. I'm here with men to offer our service to King Selwyn." He accompanied this with a curt nod.

Ryen raised a brow, "No, he knows I am here, he told me to serve in any way I can. My family has always served the king faithfully and I intend to do so. Lord Royce will continue to observe the reconstruction of the realm."
