OOC: "Horses were not meant to fight like that" - Have you never seen two warring stallions go at it? They become monsters. Aranya glared. "So what do we do?" She couldn't believe it. She frowned. "Who is Sands? A Dornishman?"

"Not attending those lessons of politcs your daddy set up for you, Aerie." Looking at the dead men Jamie added, "Probably sneaking out to sharpen your sword. The armies have moved fast, and have used disloyal Northmen to take loyal Northmen unawares."

ooc: Not really. They instinctually only "push" each other around, usually never letting things escalate to that degree. You won't see stallions ripping out throats They just bite, rear, and kick.

"He is the First Ranger, or was before Mudd appointed me First Ranger. Sands still uses the title, even though he was found guilty of treason against the realm." Bracken wiped his mouth. "Never seen any one deadlier then that man, and he was sent to the wall from Dorne when he was only a boy."

OOC: Not throats specifically, but I've seen two stallions tear at each other in a paddock. They weren't very rational to begin with, but that's how it is, I guess. And it's fun to exaggerate. Also, warhorses were trained for it. "Sands came back? And Wendwater?"

"Sands killed Wendwater soon after they had ranged north. He then kept the men hidden North of Shadow Tower from Me and Mudd. Wull and Sands picked out the ones who were not loyal to them, but they were not many. Sands is beloved. A walking legend. Fucking Traitor." Bracken rubs at his red beard.
Nodding at Selwyn he added, "You were right we should have been more concerned about the sightings of Men moving about. They were scouting parties of Sands."

It took a long time to control her rage, but Aranya forced herself to do it. She glanced at Selwyn, sharing her worry with him.
"I can't protect the Vale by myself; and there are men there to do that." Aranya hoped she was not far wrong. "We need to ride to Storm's End right now and warn the King and Lord Stark, if he doesn't already know. And he fucking doesn't, or it wouldn't have gotten this far. Besides, they'll need your information. Coming?"
She mounted the black courser and looked at him.

ooc: Oh yeah, I've definately seen horses beat the crap out of each other, but just never in "blood-lust", you know? Never to kill, only to gain dominance. I wasn't complaining, Aerie just felt bad for the horse because she thought Aranya was forcing it to behave unnaturally. haha, don't worry about it, I wasn't trying to secretly convey annoyance Aerie watched Aranya swing onto her courser and slowly eased onto hers. The wildling seemed to be incapable of being immobile, poor thing.

OOC: Don't worry, I knew . And like I said in the post where he charged, Aranya was not warging the horse; he did that himself. The black courser has been acting like that ever since I created Aranya. I just like the idea of him as a bloodthirsty beast Aranya doesn't actually warg him half the time, to be honest. On the occasions that she does, I make sure to mention it. Selwyn mounted up too, and Aranya waited impatiently for Bracken. "Come on, man. We have no time."

Jamie patted his horse, "My Bitch, is going to need some rest. We have galloped for too long. And Egg will die if we do not rest." Glancing at the man's wound. "You must remember that there are 90 more men around, we must move carefully."

Egg did look in a bad shape. Aranya sighed and swung down from Captain Snow. She lifted Egg easily in her arms, and began to walk towards the village, where she could get salve and bandages. The courser followed.

In the village, Egg's wounds were tended to, as were their own. The horses were rubbed down, washed and fed in the stable of the village's only inn. Aranya rode off for one day to gather spare clothes for her and Aerie from the Red Keep. They would need to ride soon to Storm's End.
Aranya took Bracken aside. "Do you know how many men are marching with Sands and Wull?"

"Three quarters of the Night's Watch follow Sands, and there fore Wull. Wull has always been close friends with Mormont, Umber and Karstark. When they feel into line many others did too, and then they grabbed hostages from many of the other families, including the Starks. Wull married Harlia, wife of Hallyse the Burned, uniting the remnants of the wildlings underneath them. But I think they fell into line because of Sands." Bracken tasted something sour, "Fucking Sands."
"Only Manderly, Ryswell, Dustin and Bolton resist anymore. And Manderly is crushed and running toward the Barrowlands. Bolton has been besieged in the Dreadfort for more then a month now." Looking around Bracken groaned, "Man I could use a good fuck. Take out all the strain."

Aranya stared at him. "You will not be fucking me, Jamie Bracken."
She thought for a moment. They would need to take an army north to save the northlords from this mess, and kill the traitors.

Jamie sneered, "Of course not. You are married, and I have my vows." A haughty smile brightens his face, "Any Lord Commander Mudd is leading the rest of the Night's Watch, and they are holed up in the Wolfswood. Launching occasional raids."
