Dear Callen Baratheon,
This letter is from the ambassadors of Braavos, Lys, Tyrosh and Myr.
We have been insulted by for the last time. All of us have tried to met with you, and all of us have been rebuked. Some of us on multiple occasions. Even when we asked for a lesser official who could speak in your name we were left seating in a plain room, with out significant refreshments for five hours.
This is the last, and most humiliating sign in a series of acts that have aggrieved all of our city states. Well our relationship can no longer go on like this. We are equals and shall be treated as such.
We have a list of grievances with you and your Kingdom, and as such we expect you to meet our wishes, otherwise there will be grave consequences for you Baratheon.
1)The Gold Consortium that your people have instituted has artificially driven up the price of gold, which is the basis for all our trade. So all trade as suffered.
2)This Tariff you have imposed on trade has hurt out trade relations with you, causing us to seek other further markets for goods. Clearly this is a slap in our faces, and harmful to our trade relations.
3)When King's Landing was burnt, a great deal of our people, and goods were destroyed as well.
4)There have been attempts to access the Targaryen accounts. And since it has been claimed that you extinguished the lives of the last of their line, this act would seem truly ghastly.
5)The general disrespect that seems to be held for the men from the Free Cities. There have been crimes against our people. Your own Goldcloaks have branded several of our citizens visiting your land and we find that completely unacceptable. Worse you ignore the Ambassadors who were sent to treaty with you about these problems. Clearly you do not want to hear us.
Well Callen I assure you; we will be heard. We will offer you last chance to appease our lords and peoples. If you meet our demands we will accept that you, if not your people, accept us as equal trading partners.
First you must drop the Tariffs for our Cities. True friends do not make friends pay to enter their house.
Second your kingdoms will pay us to compensate us for all the damage done to our people and goods during the last war. The exact cost we can work out jointly.
Third one man from each of our Cities shall be placed on this board for the Gold Consortium.
Fourth you must come to visit the Braavosi Sea Lord and apologize to him for the transgressions you have committed. While you are on the other side of the Narrow Sea, it would be good for you to visit, Lys, Tyrosh and Myr, also.
Callen act now to restore our good friendship.
Signed
Falatir Razoon of Lys
Symio Trehal of Braavos
Delano Rahrthis of Tyrosh
Jervis of Myr
This letter is delivered to the Red Keep in an ornate envelope. The next day being passed out on many corners of the street was this letter, soon any who wanted was able to read it.
