As they made their way along, a clattering of hooves announced the swift arrival of Alyssa, who reined in uncharacteristically sharply when she neared Aerie. “I’ve been looking for you. Where did you run off to? You wouldn’t even speak to me before you took off when you found out…” She frowned at her perplexedly, patting her rose gray mare’s foaming neck almost apologetically as she spoke. She identified Aranya and Selwyn, and her confusion increased visibly.
Aerie shrugged noncommittally. “Just ride with us. We can talk later.”

They rode out through the city. "What would your first thought be if you suspected Tomas Clegane of killing a river lord? Who do you think would be behind that? Clegane certainly wouldn't act on his own, it's too dangerous and foolish. You'd think his liege, Lord Lannister, would be behind it, wouldn't you?
"But Lord Balor Greyjoy has attacked the King's fleet defending Lannisport. Under the assault of four invading armies, Casterly Rock will break. Who, then, had the power to influence Clegane?"

Aerie’s eyes narrowed, rage rearing its grotesque head within her. “Greyjoy. Lord fucking Greyjoy.”

OOC: Yes, two.
Aranya nodded. "Perhaps. That's what it looks like to me." Literally. But what else can a squid commanding the hound mean? "Tomas Clegane will have fled the city. He can't have ridden far, and he'll know better to make for Pyke when armies are marching on all the main roads. Unless he took a ship."

“Maybe,” Aerie echoed hollowly. “He could have other motives unclear to us, completely free of Ironborn. What made you think of them anyway? He could have gone into the service of others. The Greyjoys did not seize Lannisport, after all.” She stared at the woman for a moment before continuing. “You mean to chase him all over the Six Kingdoms then? That sounds like an infallible plan.”

Jenny stared at her betrothed and fumbled for anything to say. "Was he a good uncle to you?" "He was," Horas says. He notices a commotion in the corner of his eye and smiles apologetically at Jenny. "Forgive me, my lady, but I must attend to something." Horas takes a few steps over to where Kennos Keath stands, looking rather bored. He says something quietly to him, and Keath grins and leaves the funeral.

"No, I have no plans of riding all over Westeros looking for Clegane. But I do want to find out who left the city last night. They keep track of them at all the gates, you know.
"And as for how I got my suspicions, you don't need to know that."

“Of course I don’t,” Aerie replied sardonically, staring straight ahead as they rode. “Maybe your horse whispered it to you.” She had her doubts concerning Aranya’s plans, but if they even remotely pointed Aerie in the proper direction, she could deal with the woman’s vague idiocies.

Queen Anya enters the Funeral as Representative of the King. She walks to a seat of honor at the front, where she and her brother locks gazes across the crowded room for several moments. Then Lord Benjen stands and stalks out.
