The exspensive Manor lies near the Red Keep and was purchased by Lord Benjen Stark. He has three wolves in a fenced in area as pets. Hence the clever name given to the residence by the peasants.

Lord Stark invites him and offers him a glance of wine. "What is it?"

Thorne takes the glass on offer. He is a hefty man, broad of chest, and carries an ugly looking mace-and-chain. "The fop has ridden off after Callen to fight the war. The Goldcloaks stand ready to do your bidding. The anarchy that dandy let grow needs to end."

Stark eyes him coldly for a second, "Watch you manners. Do not call Jon any more names in my presence. Just because a man is incompetant does not allow you to insult him. What do you propose. I am looking for a new man to run the Goldcloaks. Impress me."

Thorne doesn't flinch. "A firm hand needs be taken. This town is newly built, yet gangs already run lawless. The Goldcloaks are soldiers and meant to enforce order. I would have them do that. No bribing, no corruption. Simple, straight rules and the lawless will be brought to heel."

Nodding along with Thorne's assment Stark says, "For now you are acting commander. I will halt my search for one month if you rise to the occasion the position is yours if not, I will find some one who can do the job."

A young woman of about seventeen years appeared at the gate. She had long golden curls that fell to her waist, beautiful green eyes, and wore a poor woolen peasant dress - but on her, even a sack would have looked flattering.
The girl asked, with the respectful and subservient manner of the smallfolk, if she could have an audience with Lord Stark.

The man at the gate was a large northmen leaning on his large axe, eyeing her with interest he asks, "Who are you and why do you wish to call on Lord Stark."

"I have things to say that are for Lord Stark's ears alone." Mally gave him a smile to take the sting out of her words. "And I wish to work for him."

The guard frowns and replies, "I will tell him he will probably not want to see you."
He starts to walk towads the house when a commanding voice yells out from the wolf pen, "What is it Turren?"
"There is a girl to see you here my lord." Turren replies.
Stark leaps over the fence, and walks up to her, "What do you want mademe?"

"My lord, oh, my lord," Tears sparkled in her eyes as she came towards him. "I am a native of King's Landing. I am so frightened to live in my shack in Flea Bottom these days. I cannot walk in the streets without being molested, I cannot buy things without being robbed, I cannot sleep at night for fear of my safety. I have come to you, Lord Stark, for I know you are one of great strength and honor, and I ask you, give me work and asylum in your house. I will do whatever work you need, carry messages for you, do anything, but please, I am a girl alone, with no family and no safety in the city. I know the only place where I can work in safety and peace is in the great house of one such as you, my lord."
Her lip trembled, and her tear-filled eyes looked at him appealingly.

Lord Benjen stares at her blankly for several moments. Turren nudges him from behind and coughs. Benjen casts him a harsh glance before barking, "You may stay. But you must work. I can use another house maid. Talk to the cook, she is in the kitchens and you will do whatever she commands."
