Anselm Flowers actually managed to sit up in bed and he took a visitor from the king enquiring about his health. He felt very weak afterwards.

Two weeks after the accident, Anselm Flowers received his prognosis. He would probably, if he didn't do anything foolish in the next few months, live. His aims at being a warrior were quashed, however. Warriors needed two working lungs and he had only one.
Shaking off his despair, and as soon as he was physically able, he went to see his sire, King Callen to ask him how he could be of service to him.

The following message is found pinned to the door of the House of Flowers with a knife. A small group of wilted flowers are found on the doorstep beneath it.
Sorry about the knife. Wasn't my fault. Glad you aren't dead.

Anselm saw the note when he returned to fetch his things and to move back to the Keep as a Kingsguard.
Cheeky. Bloody cheeky. Then he laughed. The man could rightfully call himself the best knife fighter in Kings Landing. On occasion such men were useful to know. He removed the knife for later use.

Callen arrived in the House of Flowers the morning he left. He took a seat near Anslem's bed. "I received your note, and I'll tell you this, once a Kingsguard, always a Kingsguard. Vows aren't meaningless you know." He stood up and held several books out to Anslem, "These are the annals of the best generals Westeros has ever had, Baelor Breakspear, Eddard Stark, and Sylas Caron to name a few. I took the liberty of leaving out the first Aegon, his victories came more from the dragons than actual talent, I also left out Aemon the Dragonknight, he may have been gallant but his foray into Dorne ended in disaster. Learn these and learn them well, if you can't protect me with your sword arm protect me with your wits. Farewell Anslem, I'll be gone in the west for a while, I expect to see you healed and ready upon my return."

Anselm Flowers recovers enough to go back to his chambers in the Red Keep.
Just as he is leaving, the fresh faced and rather prim Tilda Avalon arrives. She is a country miss come up to see the big city and visit her cousins (her mother's sister's family).

Mally walked through the streets of the city, and paused by a vendor's stall in a narrow lane of modest houses. He was selling sausages that were sizzlingly temptingly on the grill, and it made Mally hungry.

Tilda was taking a stroll around the neighborhood of the House of Flowers and saw a very familiar figure wolfing down a sausage. Piggy as always, she thought primly.
"Mally!" she called, "Where have you been? Mother and father have been so worried." As she walked up to her she noticed that she seemed to have paint on her face, and her dress....she shuddered even to think of the dress.

OOC: Ah, don't say she dyed her hair! Her hair isn't dyed But the dress, yeah. "Tilda?" Mally gaped at her, and then hastily rubbed her hands clean on her skirt, smearing the cotton with grease. "Fuck," she swore. "This stain isn't going to go!"

Tilda shook her head in disapproval, Mally had always been the untidy one. But then Tilda's maternal instincts took over. "We need to get you out of that dress. You can borrow one from me. I am staying at our kinsmen, the Flowers' House, just around the corner."
With that she led Mally back to the House of Flowers and started pumping her with questions about what Mally had been doing all this time.

Mally was avoiding most of the questions, but she allowed Tilda to bathe her and wash her hair and give her a clean dress. It was a simple but lovely white gown, and when Mally brushed her hair out, it shone golden and oddly chaste. Mally grimaced a little.
"What are you doing in King's Landing? And with the Flowers?" Mally had not wanted to really meet them.

"I received a small inheritence from Great Aunt Peony and I wanted to see the world." Then she grinned, "And I wanted to make sure that you weren't the only one enjoying yourself, brat." She with elder sisterly authority finished brushing Mally's hair. She was the one with the looks in the family. She was lovely in the simple gown.
Just then they heard a babble of voices below. Their aunt was greeting someone, a young man by the sounds of it.
"I got all the way to the Keep and realized I had forgotten my second sword sheath and my good boots," he was saying in an exasperated voice.
When the girls went out to look over the bannisters of the second floor landing, they saw a very handsome young man in Kingsguard white. He looked up and winked at them.

Mally leaned on the bannister sideways and looked down at him with interest. "Is that Anselm Flowers?" she asked, smiling down at him. Everyone knew Ser Anselm of the Kingsguard. "I didn't know he lived here!"

"He is just in the process of moving back to the Red Keep," answered Tilda, have just gathered this information the day before. "He's been recuperating here from a serious knife wound he got in a tournament. Lilith Royce, do you remember her, supposedly saved his life." Then she added in a particularly horrified tone reserved for the best gossip, "He had blood bubbling out of his mouth."
She stared down at him, he was very good looking and she was still young. "Come on, let's go down and meet him."
