Ryam enters smiling,"Hello you Majesty." He bowed but just slightly,"I came here to talk about my brother.... and his stubborness towards you."

She raised a silvery eyebrow. Experience of the man's brother made her wary of the Ironborn but his presence had shown her that he was not cut from the same cloth. She'd let him speak and then judge his character.
"Stubborness? Is that all it is? It smacks of insolence to me. But say your piece, by all means, my lord of Drumm."

He shook his head,"Please call me Ryam, I do not like titles." He thought for a second," Well my brother doesn't see you as fit to rule, not because your a woman, but because you have not proven yourself to him, I haven't even done that so don't ask me how." He sat on the dirt floor. "The problem with what everyone is thinking is that he is going to rebel, he follows Selwyn, for Selwyn has proven himself and Selwyn bent the knee.... so Theodore went with him." He had to catch his breath from talking so much and just looked at the queen.

"Selwyn will be loyal," Rhaenys insisted. "You may tell your brother that there is no doubt that House Targaryen and House Baratheon will work together to right the realm."

He nods,"He knows that, did you think he would betray Selwyn, my brother isn't cunning. He is thoughtful and slow, sort of like the sea, but a lot less beautiful to look at."

She had to fight back a smile at that comment.
"Yes, well, why did he insult me then, if his lord and master is loyal to me? I may have the face and figure of a woman but I assure you that a female mind does not prevent me from ruling a kingdom and I have loyal men and women to assist me. It was, frankly, very foolish of your brother to say what he did. I could have had his head off."

"He merely wanted you to understand that he will not follow someone for there bloodline, that and he is not very good with words." He shrugged,"So him saying that might have came out wrong, he will follow you, but if he thinks you unfit he will leave... just as he said." Ryam stretched on her floor,"He thinks just because he can talk to his gods, he does not have to follow a mortal if he chooses."

"All men must follow mortal men...or women," Rhaenys answered, eyeing him dubiously as he made himself overly comfortable. "You'd best advise your brother to keep his thoughts on that subject to himself. It is an act of pure folly to voice words like that to your new monarch. As for you, I appreciate your coming here but I must insist that you recall your position and my own. It is not fit for you to lounge around in your queen's tent."

In a blink of an eye he was back in his sitting position,"Sorry your Highness, I didn't even noticed I was starting to." He brushed himself off,"Some advice that you don't have to listen to, Theodore is the best Naval Commander you have, he won't admit it but he should lead the Iron Fleet himself." He finished brushing himself off,"He would be a good Lord of Ships or whatever its called, and it would keep him doing something instead of thinking."

"You mean Master of Ships," Rhaenys corrected him, "I have another candidate for that position, but your brother could lead the Iron Fleet if I had reason to believe him loyal. Let me think."
She paced around the tent for a minute or two, then turned to face Ryam again.
"I know how to resolve this problem. Go and bring your brother to me at once. I would speak with you both together."

He left her tent and set off a sprint, running all the way to the Iron Born camp. He came back in ten minutes with Theodore in tow. Ryam entered first smiling,"I got him, though he is not happy with me."

Theodore entered,"You asked to see me." He shot a questioning glance at Ryam.
//////////////////////////
He caught his older brothers glance,"What did I do, I didn't drag you here to have you be mad at me." He crossed his arms,"I actually was good for once."

Rhaenys was solemn as she faced the Drumms. She knew it was important to maintain her dignity and her distance now more than ever.
"Lord Drumm, your brother tells me you would like to be Captain of the Iron Fleet, is that so?"

He nods,"The Iron Fleet is the best fleet in at least Westeros, I would be honored to be the Admiral."

Ryam poked him,"See told you it was for a good reason."

She hardened her heart against what she was about to do.
"Then, Lord Drumm, I confirm you as Commander of the Iron Fleet, but your brother Ryam will remain with me as a member of my household to stand surety against your good behaviour."
