He was going to be patient with the Reachmen and try not to rip his head off. He opted to stay quiet until one of the two said something else to him.

"Ah, so you buy your partners with gold instead of winning them with skill. Well, whatever works, I suppose."

[Tallahar]

"Gold." Randal laughs, "If you didn't know the realm has been rather short of that for awhile. If it wasn't because of Rodrick it was winter."

[Princess Ariel Targaryen]

"True, but that may spin around, depending on whether Rhaenys lives long enough to take her throne, and if not, who ends up on it when all the blood's been spilled."

[Tallahar]

"You know how those Targaryens can be. Plus there is a new line carrying the Blackfyre name. One war has ended but I see another one coming."

[Princess Ariel Targaryen]

"Aye. Every one of us whose parents managed to hide will be popping up soon."

[Tallahar]

"But all the ones that pop up will they be flowers or weeds?"

Ariel laughed. "Well, I think I smell rather sweet," she said, tugging on her dress. "Can't speak for anyone else, of course."

[Tallahar]

"It's not the smell it's the appearance. Aedon the Bloody had a lot of children anyone with silver hair or enough dye can claim to be a Targaryen."

[Princess Ariel Targaryen]

Ariel shrugged. "Yeah. Fortunately, unless someone wants to play puppetmaster, the bastards won't be a problem."

[Tallahar]

"Bastard's are always a problem. It's a gift we have. Are history is filled with them. Blackfyre's, Emelia, Aranya. There is always a puppetmaster."

[Princess Ariel Targaryen]

Ariel shrugged. "True. So there'll be another round of blades drawn, the ambitious will choose sides, and eventually all the lords will get sick of it and pick the least nasty, and then we'll have another half-century at peace before the next carnival."

[Tallahar]

"The last Targaryen lasted four years before they all killed themselves. I say even less. Before we all had a common enemy now it's everyone man and woman for themselves." Randal smiled, "Don't you love it."

Ariel just smiled. "Of course. So I take it that means you'll bend the knee and swear your sword to my cause?" came her tart response. "Plenty of war for even you to handle."
