Neither of those names roll off the tongue. Come on people we are going to be using these names a lot. I know one of you has to be smarter then me. I am not asking for that much.

What about "The Blood Snow" for the battle? Maybe the Ever-Night for the campaign? Or just "The Dusk"?

I like Ever-Night. Seems an appropriate name. I like the Dusk too. I think we can offical add both words to our Lexicon, but if there are any more that would be good too. There are always a few names for important battles.
Blood Snow, is alright. But not perfect.

Well, Blood Slush would be more accurate

Sure, but much more silly. Can you imagine any one who would name the most important moment in their history, The Blood Slush? It is almost Pythonesque.

Well, historical battles were customarily named after the nearest town or sometimes even a nearby river so if we know which of the Night's Watch castles was closest it could be named after that? Or if the highest-ranking people involved wanted to glorify the alliance between Saella and Selwyn it could be called The Beautiful Alliance (Prince Blucher wanted to call the Battle of Waterloo the Battle of Belle Alliance but Wellington wouldn't have it). Or maybe the Battle of Stag and Dragon to signify the alliance of Baratheon and Targaryen.

Beautiful Alliance... are we some sort of elves?

Selwyn is not beautiful, the top right of his head is burnt, he is missing an eye. He lost one ear, three finger, and four toes to frost bite. And his other ear was half chopped off.
Saella was beautiful, but that is only half.

You guys are totally missing the point of that suggestion! No-one could possibly call Wellington or Blucher beautiful by any stretch of the imagination!

I think Wellington was absolutely dreamy myself.
