Seeing Ser Corbray suddenly go limp, like a mummer's puppet with the hand pulled out of its rear, Thatcher shook his head sadly, and gestured for the man to get out.

Ser Byron knocks on Thatcher's chambers the morning after the ball, as requested. He flexes his hand idley as he waits for the door to open. He hopes the news is good. It had taken all the willpower he possessed not to go out hunting last night, and he was not sure he would be able to manage it again.

Thatcher snickered. "Very well than Lord Commander, let me explain it to you. You are asking me to assist you with a matter which may cause me some difficulty in the future. What is in it for me if I agree? What are you going to do for me."

Corbray rubbed the stubble on his chin. "I can offer certain leniencies for your spies, and help you expand into rivals networks by shutting them down and arresting them. You've got the info, I've got the manpower."
