He grins. "I'm so excited! My first battle! Lyreon Barclay, first traitor we get to chase!" he suddenly becomes sober, "I mean, yes, there will be screaming and blood and innocent men dying for their liege lords... but won't it be exciting until the harsh disillusionment hits?"

Allyria pulls her hand back slowly. "It has been...fine, yes. Plenty of traitors getting what they deserve." There is a sudden chill to her voice. "The King could have been more lenient," Howland said softly. "I lost a father too not long ago.." his voice trails off.

Wulf chuckled, "wasn't that what you were trying to do?" "Perhaps although it appears the limb is more viable then we thought," Loren said with a smile before turning to Bryden. "Congratulations on your appointment, to Master of Laws, I am sure you will work hard in your new position."

"The King could have been more lenient," Howland said softly. "I lost a father too not long ago.." his voice trails off. "Yes...of course." Allyria replies, doing her best to stay cheerful, "I don't mean to be rude. Enough of such maudlin subjects, though. The realm is at peace, or nearly. We should be celebrating. Do you dance, Lord Royce?"

"It has been a while since I have had a reason to dance, though I think that I have found one today, my Lady," Howland replied holding out his hand for her to take.

"I wish I'd paid more attention to court events before now," Alys confessed. "But I was more interested in fighting."

Haley smiled. "Just look as if you know what your doing and who you speak with and you'll be alright. Remember to call the Lords my Lord, and the knights Ser."

"OH, I always do. I'm just far too outspoken for a lady and I have improper opinions," Alys said laughing.

Haley grinned at the thought. "Best to just speak when spoken to!"

"Yes, probably. I've no talent for small talk anyway. I'd rather just talk to people I know and like."

"It has been a while since I have had a reason to dance, though I think that I have found one today, my Lady," Howland replied holding out his hand for her to take. Allyria takes his hand, smiling, and follows him out to the dance floor.
