The King had honed his instincts and perception. After years of steady training and hard work, not a piece of succulent meat escaped his notice. That is why he turned toward the door, before Lady Delinal had even entered. Smiling he approached her and said, "I thought I knew all the pretty ladies at court, and you are?"

"Lost," she sighed, and folded her arms in surrender to the Gods who seemed always to lead her in the direction opposite to the one she intended for herself, "And you?" she asked.

Rodrick laughed deeply, and then a flash of lightning struck behind his eyes. His mouth clapped shut like a pot closing on a lid and he looked at her. He bowed deeply to her and said, "Milday, I am Ser Rod Stagg. May I help you find what you are looking for?"

Ephira raised an eyebrow as she considered the man closely, arms still folded "Rod Stagg...You know...I studied the noble houses of Westeros extensively in preparation for this tour long before I journeyed to your side of the Sea, and I don't recall I ever came across the phylogeny of the noble House of Stagg. Yet you are dressed too well to be common, so first I think you must be a merchant, but what business would a merchant have to look so comfortable in the King's Court?" she eyed him a moment longer, and said nothing for a time, "Your house must be quite new, or poor, or insignificant, or likely all three, for my never to have heard of it previously."

"My father was a merchant, sold many things. He died a while ago but I inherited his entire wealth." Rod added, "When I earned my Knighthood, I took the name Stagg, to honor House Baratheon, it was to this house that I squired, and I owe everything to the stags of Baratheon. Now I am a knight in his household, the only knight with such a large inheritance, but still just a knight." He quirked his head, "Are you always so perceptive? That is amazing. And I bet you know more about Westerosi houses then I do" He chuckled at how true that probably was, "So can I help you become unlost."

"I was looking for the privy, actually," she said, "and perhaps I will follow you to it, but I should prefer to take it from there on my own, if you don't mind."

Rod chuckled, "Well if you insist." He motioned toward the door that she had just entered. Walking forward he subtly signaled a halt to his guards who fell back. In his head he began to plot a route through the least populous of halls, as he asked, "So Milady Lost, you have an inflection to your speech that I can not identify, where are you from?"

"A rock in the Sea," she answered plainly, "a really big one," she specified. "You may call me Ephira, or Lady Delinal; whichever suites you better. Lady Lost is a bit too theatrical to depict me, I'd say...mayhaps Lady Directionally-Challenged would be more accurate, but I like Ephira just fine, and it's served me well to this point."

"Delinal, that sounds familiar but I can not place it." Rod replied, and then added, "Ephira is a beautiful name. It must have served more then just well." He smiled at her, "How long have you been here in King's Landing?"

"Delinal is the name by which the Sealord of Braavos goes--I have been on this end of the Narrow Sea for nigh on three years, travelling mostly between Sunspear and King's Landing, with the occasional jaunt reserved for other attractive destinations. I had the delight to see a bit of Lannisport several weeks ago."

Rod nodded, "I have seen Sunspear, but I have never had the pleasure of seeing the sights of the west. The King and the previous lord, Cedric, avoided each other like dogs. Have you visited Storm's End? Or the Great Sept? What is the best site you have seen in our land?" He studied her face clearly curious.

"I like the Water Gardens," she answered, "they are quite magnificent."

"I have not seen them." Rod replied, "Are they in Dorne?"

Ephira nodded, "On the coast just North of Sunspear. I like Dorne in general quite a lot. I have found a second home in Sunspear."

"I have never been." Rod said, "Perhaps I will arrange a visit at the next opportunity. If the King will allow it of course."
