Loren shifts uncomfortably, when the Red Priestess and Oakheart walk in, "there goes the neighborhood," he whispers barely audible to anyone except his sworn sword Ser Montague and Lord Samuel Tarly.

"I shall keep that in mid Lord Frey," Winister said, nodding, "Until then." The man bowed, and turned to leave. Emelia threw one last look at Frey, "May the Lord of Light shine upon you Lord of the Crossing." She smiled, then hurriedly went to Winister's side, the two talking quietly.

His grin changed back into the merry one. "It's not the Lord of Light, I want above me, dear..." He turned to find a new acquaintance.

Alys sighed. "Yes, and I've no desire to be considered rude, though I've been called such in the past, I must confess." Haley smiled, and looked round the sea of faces for her brother. She found him and taking Alys's hand made their way over. "Bealor?" She said. "Lord Bealor," Alys said, greeting her betrothed. "It is good to see you again."

"Congratulations then, it will be nice to have some happy news to celebrate. Is your betrothed coming to the Capital or am I going to have to beg the Hand for us to leave to celebrate in the Arbor?" Loren said jokingly. "Well I would prefer the Starry Sept," Samuel said, his face taking on a solemn cast, "but if Smallwood won't let us leave I suppose she'll have to come here. I imagine that Lord Redwyne would send no less than a flotilla to escort her, though Lord Mallister might be a little miffed. I just hope that our ships are not 'appropriated' for this ludicrous attack on the Driftmark. I would hate to think of Reachmen for such a useless rock."

Blair looked around in horror as Lord Oakheart came up. She glanced nervously at Haley Dawnrose, and prayed that this would not turn into an ugly scene. Haley said nothing as the new Lord Paramount came up. She smiled mildy at Blair, as if she really didnt care but her eyes showed something different. The King smiled and said, "My Private Veranda is this way my ladies." He grabbed Lady Royce's, and Lady Dawnrose's hand and begins to lead them to his private veranda. Haley seemed to want to say something when the King took her arm. She shoot an almost petrified look at Lady Blair, but wisely kept her mouth shut.

"You've no idea how much of a relief it is to see a friendly face," Alys confided. "Apart from Haley...Well, I know some of these people, of course, but I'm not exactly a proper lady, am I? I have little in common with most of the women here and I'll wager some of the men think me unnatural. But with you I know I am assured of good company."

"The worse part is the Velaroyn's are not any more loyal then the Barclay's, less then 20 years ago they were rebelling and its not like they lifted much of a finger to help Rodrick in the war. No trouble though we will just liberate the rock when they rebel again," Loren said callously.

Megara arrived, after a few hours of deliberating on wiether to come or not. She was dressed in black, and seemed older then she had been when they arrived at the city.
She arrived just in time to see Haley with the King, and turned searching out her son.
"Bealor." She made her way over deliacately. "And you must be Alys, Bealor has told me all about you." She greeting the young lady at her son's side warmly.

"At this point, I don't think there's a House in the entire kingdom that wasn't involved with treachery at one point or another in the last fifty years," Samuel said with a frown. "Not even the King's own House," he added.
"The court will be traveling the Braavos soon enough, for the Princess' wedding. I don't believe he can expect us all to accompany him into that viper's den so perhaps I shall take that opportunity to tie my own knot in Oldtown." Samuel lowed his voice and leaned in closer to Lord Irwyn. "I've also heard that one of the other Princesses will be marrying Horas Martell," he spat the name out like it was swearword, "and the Gods only know what that will mean for this realm."

"Brandon if you would trust your son in my care I would do all that I can to ensure he is raised well as both a knight and a gentleman. It would be a great pleasure," Loren said with a smile. "Excellent," Brandon smiled "I'm sure he will become a good man under your tutelage. Congratulation with the coming marriage, Lord Tarly". "Quite all right." Allyria's voice drops to a whisper, and she leans in close to Howland's ear. "Vengeance is likely on everyone's mind, though we dare not mention it. The moment for it will come, I have no doubt." Howland twirled her around, "It is rather far from my mind at the moment"
