He gave his own manly bow to all three women. "Such a handsome bachelor and so many beautiful married women at my side... I think I begin to see the light of attending these knee-breaking parties."

He frowned at the question. "The king's paternal need to watch his children."

Lady Petra Bettley disengaged from Lefford, and moved over to the gathering of beautiful woman. Smiling at them she asked, "Am I allowed to enter your company, or am I too old and wizened?" She nodded to Frey and added, "I see there is one man who is willing to risk his life flirting with other men's wives. Bold." She giggled at her own quip.

He bowed to the Lady Bettley. "Any man who marries such creatures and then lets them run loose is practically loaning you the saddlle."

Lady Leanna smiled widely at Lady Blair, "Lady Blair, you look absolutely fabulous today." She leaned over and kissed her cheek.
"And Lady Haley, you look gorgeous even in mourning." She took her hand for a moment, before seeing Lady Petra and letting go.
"Lady Petra, don't be silly. You're not wizened... yet." She smiled at her own little jape.
"Lord Victor, how can you possibly be still a bachelor? Your to...." She seems about to say attractive, but than visibly pauses, "wealthy for that." she winks at him to show its all in good fun.

Petra raised an eyebrow at Victor, "The saddle? Are you planning to take a ride on a filly tonight Frey?" She laughed ironically.

"Well, one can never be sure what exactly in your pants your bride is after... I'm afraid to a man, it all feels the same." he gave a boyish grin as he sipped his wine. "Fillies? I could hardly choose one here without discouraging the rest of the word. I am a Frey and quite selfish for it, after all!"

Leanna smiled, "Oh Lady Blair you are too kind. But I look like a washerwoman in this dress, compared to yours, Did you get it from Leony? I'd get all my dresses there, if my husband could afford it." She smiles at Victor Frey as she says so.

"If the Lady of Lannisport was not at our side to demonstrate, I'd ask you your measurements, madame, and show your husband how a proper lady should be allowed to dress."

Petra chuckled, "So your plan is ride several horses at once? They say a man who rides two steeds at once is twice as likely to get his neck broke." She shook her head sorrowfully.

"Because the doddering old man can't afford it sweetling." Leanna said, looking almost embarrassed. "He's kind, but he's practically a pauper! The only thing he's rich in is facial hair."

"Foster does know," Samuel said, referring to the Lord of the Arbor whose father Samuel had squired for in his youth. He returned Loren's jab, punching the man lightly in one shoulder. "It took a little persuasion though, he's not eager to party with his baby girl, but she and I have kept up correspondance almost fairly constantly since I left the arbor and she agreed when I asked for her hand a fortnight ago. I've just heard from Lord Redwyne, who has finally given his blessing," Samuel added, the pure elation openly visible on his face. "Congratulations then, it will be nice to have some happy news to celebrate. Is your betrothed coming to the Capital or am I going to have to beg the Hand for us to leave to celebrate in the Arbor?" Loren said jokingly.

Lord Victor Frey suddenly felt two large, hammy hands on his shoulders. The sweaty hands left stains on his fine cloth. Turning him around, Victor saw it was the King standing there with a large smile, "Frey, you are clearly in my place."
