The festivities were beginning to die down in King's Landing but they were by no means over. Huge pavilions stood high above the heads of the folk walking by, the banners of the Lightning Lord being proudly displayed along a line of market stalls and entertainers.

As Ser Breyn walked around enjoying the festivities, he spied Lord Dondarrion and slowly moved in his directions. Clapping the Hand on his shoulder Ser Breyn said "Congratulations Lord Dondarrion. It is a pleasure to finally meet you. On behalf of my father and all of House Royce, I wish you a good marriage with many fine strong sons."

Lord Dondarrion smiled, "You and your kin are kind, dear Ser Royce. You must be Breyn. I have most recently met Rhodri, whom you of course know. A good man he is...I have given him an offer, if he has told you?"

Putting on a charming smile, Zachary crosses the room to greet the man of the hour. "Well met, Lord Dondarrion, and congratulations on this most joyous day. I'm sure that you and your lovely bride will have a wonderful marriage. If there is anything you ever need of me, rest assured that House Lannister will always be there for your family and his Grace.

Ser Rhodri Royce returned to the site of the celebration in hopes that the Lord Hand would still be present. Spying him speaking to his brother, Ser Breyn, and Ser Zachary Lannister, he approached and knelt.
"Mi'lord. I have come to my decision. It would be an honor to take up my spear in your name. I accept your offer."

Lord Dondarrion thanks the Lannister and then turns to the Royce knight. Smiling he says, "Great, I am pleased and honored to have such a fine knight serving as my Captain of Guard. Your quarters will now be in the Tower of the Hand. My servants will be able to take you there and get you settled."

"Mi'lord, I have one favor to ask of you. The morning of the challenge against Ser Wylde, I knighted my squire Selwyn should I not have survived the fight. I would like to keep Ser Selwin in my service, but I also need a new squire. Do you have a young kinsman to whom such service would be a benefit? It would be another way to tighten the bonds between House Royce and House Dondarrion to have a Dondarrion kinsman as my squire."
OOC: I'll take this query and the follow up into my next scenario.

Nealon Spear puts down his mutton and boldly approaches Rhodri, knealing. "my lord, i am but lowborn, but i have served the lannisters for nearly 20 years. If you would make me your squire, not only would you receive a feircly loyal protector of good experience, but any squabbles you may have had with members of my house will be ended. My Lord had learnt of your knighting of ser Selwin, and instructed me thus. He also wished me to tell you that Casterly Rock has nothing but good and hopeful intentions towards the Royces." Spear places his sword at Rhodri's feet
