As Rhodri leaves, the worm mutters, "Aye. And i fear for Duncan Snow."

Ser Selwyn Stone returned to the Market Square and starts speaking to the various vendors. He spoke to the serving wenches in the Merry Maid, Arguel Flowers the greengrocer, Angalin Flowers the sommelier, and the Tyroshi fruit seller. He spoke to Barlane Wood the craftsman, the puppet master and the old crone selling ribbons.
He was asking each for the same information: the whereabouts of a young woman, tall and striking with dark hair, perhaps going by the bastard name Stone. He had reason to believe she had arrived in town in the last couple weeks and was staying somewhere nearby.

Nealon Spear stumbles out of the nearby tavern The Spreading Wench, having spent the night drinking and whoring. Eyes bloodshot and staring, the bulky Spear staggers around the market place, before plunging his face into a water fountain.

Sarane, on her way back to her rooms after a dress-fitting, was astonished to see Spear plunge his face into a water fountain, right out in public. For a moment she considered ignoring him, but he was sworn to the Lannisters. He could be useful.
"Wait here, Laili," she told her maidservant before making her way over to Nealon Spear. He was a large man, but she kept her chin high. Nothing to fear in public like this, and besides, she was becoming known as a friend to the Lannisters.
"Nealon, what are you doing?" she asked, sounding worried. "Are you alright? Do you need any help?"

Spear grinned, showing yellow teeth. "Nay pretty lady. I fear i drank too much last night. I had to do something to avoid Steffen see,"

Sarane resisted the urge to cringe away from Nealon Spear, instead giving him a sympathetic smile. "The wine tastes so good, it's hard to believe sometimes it can leave us so the next morning. And why would you be avoiding Ser Steffen? You are a loyal Lannister man, and Ser Steffen is a Lannister of such...noble...standing." Her tone carried a hint of frost when she spoke of Ser Steffen.

Nealon shrugged. "A lannister man? I am Steffens man, is all. Truth be told, he would not be pleased by my news, and i would rather drink at yon inn than listen to him rant. Strange, hes changed since coming here you see."
Nealon suddenly gave Sarane an odd look, as if he realised he had said too much.
"Anything else milady would like to know?"

Sarane smiled again at Nealon. "I only wished to know if you needed assistance," she told him. "If you feel capable then I shall be on my way. I recommend rubinia tea, by the way. It always helps my wine headaches." The last time Sarane Stark had a headache from wine she'd been a teenager, but Nealon would not know that. "Good day to you."
She returned to Laili and the two continued on their way.

As Sarane left the market place, Nealon's predatory eyes remained fixed upon her back, a look of stone etched upon his face.

As Steffen and Zachary enter the Market Square, Zachary spots Nealon Spears out of the corner of his eye. However, he notices the Lannister brothers first, and runs away.
"Say," Zachary says to Steffen, "wasn't that your man Spears just there?"

Sarane was almost out of the square when she saw the Lannister brothers. It was too good a chance to lose. "Laili, wait a moment. Again."
"Ser Zachary," she called softly as she approached the two men. "Ser Steffen. I am pleased to see you."

Steffen frowned. "Aye it was. What the seven hells is he doing?"
The worm shrugged. "He'll turn up when he feels like it i suppose. He can be singleminded, but hes completely loyal."
Seeing Sarane approach, he eyed her curiously. "Yes, milady?"

"It's a pleasure to see you my Lady Stark, what can my brother and I do for you?"

"Does a lady need a reason to speak with two such fine gentleman?" she teased, letting her gaze linger for a second on Ser Zachary. "But as it happens, Ser Steffen, I just spoke with your man, Spear. He had too much to drink last night, I fear, and I don't think he believed me about rubinia tea."

"The fool. No matter, how do you fare my lady?" Steffen bowed extravagantly, inwardly grinning. She is so obvious
