Syd walked down the Market square and noticed the words exchanged between Maester Aemon and Ser Gathor. "Maester Aemon! Any progress made with the Tyrells?"

"You as well," Syd said. "Tell me, ser, is your father about? I have important matters to discuss with him and need to see him imperatively."

Ser Rhodri and Ser Selwyn return to the Market Square as the rising sun starts to burn off the morning fog. The Redspear had much to consider; his father sent him to King's Landing to become a Whitecloak, but an unexpected offer from the Hand startled him. To be Captain of the Guards to the Lord Michael Dondarrion would make him the sword in the grasp of the King's Hand. While Whitecloaks tarry in King's Landing, deep inside a well defended keep, a position for Lord Dondarrion promised action -- and the chance to wed. So action of more than one sort.

"Greetings, good brother. Welcome to King's Landing. I'm sure we can arrange an extra room in the Splendid Eagle for you to lodge. How is our fair sister? Does she remain in Runestone?"

I'm not sure where are fair sister is. I couldn't locate her to say goodbye before I left. In fact, no one has seen her for some time. I hope she's alright.

Has she vanished once again? I wonder if she was jealous that Jon, Selwyn and I departed the Vale for the capital. She always thought she deserved every opportunity our Lord Father has afforded his sons and nephews.

Yes Rhodri, our sister has always been impetuous. She needs a husband, though don't tell her I said that.

Speaking of weddings -- good brother -- the Hand has made an interesting proposition. After I defeated Ser Abrim Wylde, he gave me a choice. His recommendation for the Kingsguard, or a position as his new Captain of the Guards, with the future potential to wed his sister. With his wedding to the Baratheon princess, he is tied more closely to the King than ever. Such an alliance could serve us well. Unfortunately, our father is not here to discuss this with. What do you think?
