"Very well, ser. Ser Rindwynd, I was unaware that you had registered for the melee. Good luck, and may your sword be swift." Hopefully, Ser Gathor had told Rindwynd of the agreed alliance between the Starks and Tyrells during the melee.

"Of course my good Royce there is nothing like a good fight to help get a man's blood pumping the weapons are blunted so there is little harm." "Lord Stark are you also in this Melee I have heard a great number of your lords have made the journey south for the tourney it would be good to see how you northmen fight in this warm weather."

"The weapons are blunted, but that doesn't mean people can't die. I hope that we both return from the melee unscathed."

"I will be competing as well. Lord Nichlas Umber wanted to participate as well but other matters drew him away from the capital toward the south, unfortunately. I assure you, my northmen will fight as if the one hundred wrathful blizzards of the north were at their backs."

Gathor walked, favoring his bad, leg to Zachary, "good luck to you in the melee ser." he said offering his hand. Greeting Ser Gathor, offering his own hand, Zachary nodded to him. "And good luck to you and your kin as well, Ser. Though I hope the Seven will grace us with more than just luck."

Elspeth Stone found, to her surprise, that the market place was in good working order. There were men at the gates but a range of goods were available, including just the things she needed. She made her purchases and hurried back to the keep.

As Lord Breyn walked through the Market Square, he spotted the Walking Tree, Ser Rindwynd, sitting near the Merry Maid lost in thought. He walked over to the knight and nodded at him. "Ser Rindwynd, you look so forlorn. May I join you?"

"Good day to you M'lord, Shall I get you a drink." ser Rindwynd calls over the serving maid "two goblets of wine please and cheese and black bread." "As for being forlorn I was just think of the old saying 'Each time a Targaryen is born the gods flip a coin for either greatness or Madness.' and I'm just wonder how long until the wrong come up."

Taking a sip of wine, Lord Breyn thought hard before he answered. "The Tagaryens have always been an unpredictable bunch, its true. I thought things would be different now, thought that the Targaryens needed our support, but that was before I saw the dragon. What need have you of armies when such a beast exists. Lord Lannister was right."
Pausing for a monet, Breyn continued. "How is Prince Callen?"

There was a somberness in the market. The tales of the great victory of the Targaryens, the Lannister and the Royces filled the streets but also the tales of those who littered the fields filled the streets. Elspeth Stone went shopping, collecting rumors and seeing what was to be had. Arguel the greengrocer was there but he said his supplies were poor, though a few things were getting through. The rotten vegetables sold for cheap were piling high at the end of the row.
