Balon pushed open the door to the solar, taking in the room’s occupants with a single glance as he did so.

Lord Qhored Harlaw stands facing the window looking out at the wild sea below brick and rock when Balon is shown in. In the solar with him are Ser Wulf Pyke the Knight, Lord Bannen Blacktyde, Lord Rent Drumm and Bloody Kurt.
Wulf grinned when Balon entered, "Balon, it is about time you finally made it." He winked at him.
Qhored turned around from facing the window. "Brother, yes, what detained you so?" He asked with slight annoyance, but much less so than he would have shown for any other lord who would come so late after the majority of the Iron Islands strength had been called to Pyke.

Flashing a sheepish grin, Balon inclined his head slightly towards his brother.
“I had some smaller matters to tie up at home, luckily I am here now.”
With that said, the lord of Ten Towers briefly greeted the others in attendance before sinking into a seat with a welcome sigh of pleasure.
“I trust I have not missed anything of importance, brother?”

"We have been discussing our options." Qhored said, sitting himself down in a hard-backed chair.
"Chaos is storming through the greenlands like it has never before been seen," Drumm said. "The stag's kingdom is shattering before him. The Lannister has already crowned himself, and it will only be a matter of time before more follow."
Qhored nodded, "and as they split and the old boundries are redrawn they become isolated and weak. There are lands that will be ours for the taking soon; Bear Island, Fair Isle, the Shield Islands."

Balon nodded ponderously, one hand curling into a fist which came slamming down on the arm of his chair
“ Places that already quake in terror at the very mention of our names.”
The reaver chuckled briefly, a jovial look painted across his features.
“Hmh, then the question is who do we want first. The Northern bastards, or the Seven buggering Farmans?”

Lord Bannen Blacktyde looked at Balon, his thick arms crossed across his chest. "First, we take back what is ours," he said in an a severe tone.
Bloody Kurt nodded his ascent, "slay the Northerners, and bring back Balor Greyjoy's prize: Bear Island."
Ser Wulf grunted, "the North hasn't declared in favour of the king yet. We will achieve the most if we take advantage of our situation, use our allies to guard our rear while we take what does not concern them."
Qhored looked at Balon, "and what do you think brother? We are allied with those who are against the king. Should we wait and see what position the North takes?" His tone suggested he might have already made his decsion.

Balon let out a grunt, fixing his brother with a long gaze.
“Aye, I say we take back what is ours.”

"Cous!" Creyon exclaims delightedly. "I have heard rumblings... of good news. We are to have war over the Shields?"

OOC: The other posts in this thread happened awhile ago.
Lord Qhored looked up as Creyon entered.
"Creyon," he says, his face set in it's usual severe expression, "yes, I do not think there will be another option. Smallwood wanted coin in exchange for what was already ours." He spat on the ground to convey what he thought of that notion.
"Your work on the Shields has impressed me Creyon, you are an able person."

Balon enters the room, grunting in way of greeting to Creyon before turning to Qhored.
“Brother, I see you’ve grown bored of that shithole they call Kingslanding. What news of our ‘acquisitions’?”

"I had had enough of Kingslanding before I ever got there."
"If Smallwood sticks to his word then its war over them."

"So the Mander nobility have finally found some balls to stake a claim eh? This will be fun," grinned Creyon. "Maybe we should reave on a few of their coastal towns. You know, strengthen their resolve to attack before they lose their courage."
OOC: Is Qhored's character unaware of Tyberion's deal with Smallwood? Seems like the crown isn't interested in helping the Mander anymore.

OOC: Yea, Qhored has received no IC message about Tyberion's arrangement.
A small grin appeared on Qhored's face at Creyon's eagerness.
He looked down at the map in front of him. "But if we are to defend against the combined might of the Seven Kingdoms, we must fight them here, on the Iron Islands. We cannot afford to split our forces, we will need every man and ship, and if we defend the Shields we leave the Islands free to be taken by the Westerlands or the Mallisters."
"It will mean abandoning the Shields until we are strong enough to take them again."

A small frown betrays his real thoughts, but Creyon realises his cousin has already made up his mind on what is to be done. "What would you have us do then Qhored?"
