Lord Fossoway's Solar

Lord Fossoway leads Tallahar back to his solar. Seating himself he offers Tallahar a glass of Arbor red and says, "I am sorry, cousin, but I cannot allow the transfering of the Regency. I promised this to Barret, and I think we both owe it to him to fulfill his dying wishes. Plus, I see no great need to transfer leadership." He took a sip of his wine, "Are you concerned over something?"

"Yes I was the man who was Regent before Barret was well I have been Warden of the South for over 5 years then suddenly he dies and you are the most powerful man apart from the King. It sounds like a damn good way to become the Lord Regent to me."

"Lord Tallahar, I ask you to respect Lord Barret's decision. Though, there is another matter at hand- you may be aware of it" Fossoway draws from his cloak the decree signed by many Lords. "I am shortly going to present this. Should it succeed I've thought of creating a Regency Council to help situate and educate Lord Lyonen. You would be my first admission to the council which would have a rotating leadership role."

Tallahar sits and thinks for a bit, "Nope not good enough. Scrap the Council he is a Tyrell so he should be raised by Tyrells. I suggest a joint Regency between the two of us."

Aaron considers Tallahar's words before speaking, "That is an interesting option, but we would have to clearly define the powers that each of us have. Equally important is that you would likely have to compromise your position as Master of Laws. But these matters can be solved later."

"Would you like to sign the decree?" Aaron offers Tallahar a quill and ink.

Tallahar sits back and reads it, "Very well then but one condition. I want some security about my families position you would know that I have always been loyal. Also if this passes I would not be Master of Laws so there is no point why I wouldn't be Joint Regent."

"Ahh that was foolish of me...", Fossoway thinks for a moment, "Perhaps instead of Joint Regency I will name you as the Lord's Hand. It would create a near equivalence between our power and you would continue your position even years after I do."

He gave Tallahar a moment to let that sink before he rose of his seat, "I'll let you think that over, but please sign it, if you will, and let us rejoin the festivities."

Tallahar sits back again and thinks harder then he has ever had to before., "First off would I not King's Hand as the return of the Gardern throne would make Lyonen a King. Second I would like to make it formal that when Lyonen is 10 he will become my squire."

OOC: If the one who would be King is different just imagine that I said that name.

"Deal, though I'd prefer that he does not squire given his royal status. I would have no qualms with you being the one who teaches him the knowledge of the sword. Your reputation precedes you as the finest fighter in the Reach"

OOC: Woops, I mean't King I don't want to rush things, but I think we should get back to the feast before Callen signs off.

Tallahar stands and offers his hand, "I agree but no harm is to come to King Callen."

"Agreed. Just sign here", Fossoway says pointing to a line on the document.

Tallahar signs it drains his wine and leaves the room.

Cole enters and makes the case for the men of the Kingsguard to be given better accomodation.

The Kingsguard will be given better cells, but cells none-the-less.

Tallahar burst into Fossoway's solar, "You Bastard you promised that the King would not be harmed yet he is died."
