Two horses can be heard before they are scene, and they roar galloping into the courtyard. Two women ride the beasts, both dressed in vaguely mannish clothes. Slowly they dismount and begin to cross the courtyard toward the hall.
Suddenly the two see the two men and freeze. The girls are both long and athletic, but as different as two kinds of flower. The taller one with auburn hair and the physique of a bean pole immediately covers her mouth with her hand; her large brown eyes opening wide. Her slightly shorter companion has long dark tresses, and her light blue eyes stare challengingly at the two men.

William looked a the father and son as they arrive, "This wedding is turning into a true party." "Well don't get too drunk, you never know who you might end up in bed with," Brandon grimaced. "Do you think I can drink, Father?" Patrek asked. Brandon looked at his son and seemed to consider it, "No" he said finally. Patrek pouted. Brandon turned to Brynden, "You have heard the decree no doubt? The one about the King".
