Rickon nodded, "I understood those were words said in anger." He looked her in the eye, "I have no grudge against you, and you have none against me. We are, at very least, friends again. It was the primary reason for my visiting."

"It is." Rickon agreed, "My life has grown stronger in every aspect but one. As the years have passed I have felt that loss seem to grow. I have had woman suitors, but they did not understand. It would have been easy to pretend I am not married. That the words I spoke all those years ago, are some how less true because everything that was suppose to accompany the vows did not follow." He breathed out deeply, "But then I would be living a lie, and I will never do that again."

Rickon stood and looked at the door. "I have felt the weight of those vows for all of these fifteen years. They have become as welcome and steady as the weight of my blade. They are still true... I will never break them. No matter if your gods absolve you of them." He looked back at her, "Being this close to the Vipers is extremely uncomfortable for me. I had three men hint that they would support me in a war for the crown, and I only saw four Lords my whole trip. It is sickening." His hand moved for hers, and then he stopped it. "We all must choose our paths. I will leave now, and I doubt I will ever venture this far south again."
He smiled and brushed his fingers against her cheek, "I think we could have been happy. If our lives had ever been ours to own." He bowed again.

Rickon stepped forward, and took her wrist in his hand, "Do not waste your rite on me. I have nothing but loathing for your southern gods, that inspire these southern men." He leaned in and kiss her forehead, "I hold you in high regard too, Jeyne. And I promise you will often be in my thoughts."

Rickon smiled suddenly, "You know why I came here. I just told you both reasons." He shook his head, "The true question is why did you react so strongly to a kiss on your forehead. Are you going to tell me none of the beggars you aided every kissed her hands? That kiss was as chaste as a kiss can be."

"Jeyne, Maybe I am not a test. Maybe I am your reward." Rickon moved closer to her, "And if I am a test, then your gods have failed you. After everything you have done, and given up. To test you is an insult." He stepped forward and took her arms in his hands, "You have been content, Jeyne, we can make each other happy."

Rickon shook his head, "No. You had your chance, now I am going to stay, for your sake." He stepped forward, and tilted her back. He planted a hard kiss on her lips. "I think you are feeling a part of your self you thought was long departed, and you are scared because it is not."

Rickon grabbed the stick from the woman and threw it away with ease. Prying her arms free from his neck, he held them against her body and lifted her into the air. All this was done with out his eyes leaving Jeyne's own. "It seems I must go. I do not wish to harm any of the woman in this House, but I think they may attempt to change my mind." He smiled and then added, "When we were young we always thought with our head, not once did we every stop and listen to our hearts. Please, do not make the same error again."

Rickon turned on his heel and walked to the door. He almost stepped through, but stopped. Slamming the door shut, he pulled a dagger and wedged the door shut. Slamming the blade home with all of his strength.
Turning once again he slowly walked back to her talking. "I have made that mistake, but I learned much from my travels in the North, and I will not be coming back to the South ever again. Before I walked in through that door, when was the last time you thought of me Jeyne? Because, it was not until I left that I knew how much you mattered to me. I thought about you almost every day; riding, hunting, sowing. You were miles distance, but never very far."
