Lord Justin's eyes narrowed. "After the unfortunate Reach Rebellion, during my father's time, the crown did indeed hold lords imprisoned for long period of times. But those men were attainted as traitors after leading armies into the field and giving battle against the Crown. No such crime has Lord Roland been accused of."

After knocking Selmy from his horse Kijo rides over and calls something down to him. Selmy stiffens, and then hurls his lance at the Panter, whom bats it aside and gallops away laughing.

Lord Fowler applauded the Royce knight politely though he was disappointed that Kijo Sand had been defeated. He handed over a small purse of coins to a nearby lord as his wager was lost.

Gabriel dusted himself off before recognizing Brynden and dropping to bow to him. He himself was surprised that he was able to make it to the final round in his first actual tourney. He was quite proud of himself. He lifted his helm and waved to the audience. His eyes found his brother, Rupert, and sneered. I will depose you yet.

Ser Galahad cheers as Lord Royce wins the tournament. He had met the man before, as well as many other Royces, whom he had taken quite a liking to.
Galahad made his way over to his brother, Selmy. "Hello, brother," he says, warmly.

"How do you fare?" he asks, lightly. "I was glad to see you strike down Peregrine, though saddened by your loss... what is it he said that angered you so, brother?"

Galahad shook his head. "Of all the brothers of the Kingsguard, I believe you deserve it above the rest of us, and of that I am certain, brother. The man is black of heart, and if his words imply you do not deserve to wear the cloak because our order has fallen so far, then there may be truth in that," he said confidently and warmly.

Selmy looked at Galahad and nodded, a hand rising to his eyes for a moment. Then he embraced the other man in a tight hug.

Galahad returned the embrace of the man he'd known as a brother for over fifteen years. When they released each other, Galahad kept one hand on the man's shoulder and chuckled a little. "Now, brother, lets go prepare to best those devils in the melee," he said with a smile.
