Hah, you make me chuckle princess. Too bad I have had 0 fights since I joined this forum, due to joining after King's Landing Tourny sign-ups, after the war, and now Tallahar has canceled his tourny so I am stuck as Expert in swordsmanship until I can find some way to level up... Man, I just feel like ranting right now!

Write a scenario about training with a friend.

Write a scenario about training with a friend. Yeah. You think all these schmo's all just got lucky in tourneys and levelled up that way? Check out the Library for some examples of training scenarios. Just sending me or the Smith a short note saying "Auron trained really hard and now he's Legendary" won't work ;D

Yeah. Legendary -is- impossible to "train" to, though. You need to do something damned impressive. (Like winning -that- tourney at Grandmaster.)

Smith: Aranya is a Grandmaster of the Sword, not Master

Is Aerie too?

Aerie was "nearly Grandmaster" as of our shared training scenario, which I think was her last swordplay.
Did you ever decide on improvements based on the tourney results?

Yeah I added people and fixed people... I think you were one of them Rhod. Check the masters list.

I see that Rhod is Grandmaster. Excellent (though I admit I'm not sure how good jousting makes him a better swordsman. I think one of the discrepancy's of our rule system is that we use someone's main weapon to judge their jousting, which is why everyone is master of gmaster of the sword -- why work on multiple weapons when we only need one?). Anyway, I'm not complaining. I've been working towards that for a long time.
What about Jon Royce? Excellent run in the joust, and victory in the melee -- and those were the biggest jousts and the biggest melee we've yet staged.

So that whole post Rhodri was to Show off that your character are getting really good with weapons.

Not really. I wanted to point out that our system should differentiate the skills better. I assigned Rhod a jousting skill when I first invented the character (as well as separate horsemanship, spearfighting and swordfighting). But if all it takes to be a great jouster is the ability to swing a sword, why should we work on the others? I *think* people with good horsemanship are applied a bonus, but really sword skill shouldn't count at all.
Although I will also admit that I am lobbying for Jon Royce to become Legendary.

I kind of agree with you Rhod. But it is now one of those catch twenty twos. How do we fix it now. Give everyone who has jousted their same skill in Joust. Or start everyone at zero joust and let them work their way you except for those who already have it.
