Ug, I know exactly how you feel. I'm in the exact same situation with Aerie. Maybe Rhodri and Aerie should bash it out for a while together and ask for an upgrade each . I'm only half kidding...

What is she, grandmaster? I'd probably lose. That would suck.

Not necessarily. Aranya lost to Goldface despite the fact that he was an Expert and she was a Master.

Haha, that would be interesting.
Rhodri: Hey Aerie, wanna fight? Being the Hand is SO totally lame.
Aerie: Umm, sure...if you're okay with one hand...

I meant a training fight Aerie, training. There would be no "finishing off".

"Finishing off" as in striking the final blow, upon which he would be on his ass thinking WTF. I don't think people would like me very much if I randomly tried to kill the Hand

Then Aranya would probably come after you. I kind of wouldn't mind seeing Rhodri and Aerie duel. Aerie would be throwing insults and Rhodri would be Neddish.

I feel pretty dorky submitting training scenarios unless I can do something new and interesting in them (hence the training on a ship, or the strategy training via hunting analogies, both of which I thought were pretty neat). I'd feel bad about just doing "Rhodri goes to the training yard and fights with Ser X for an hour upgrade my skill now please." It has to have a new wrinkle. And I can't think of any wrinkles right now. Yeah, I know how you feel. 's why Emelia's "training" is all on-the-job doing stuff (or in one case teaching someone else the fine art of Machiavelli).

Is there any other knight or warrior who deserves to be on the Master and Grandmaster list?

You can put Ser Humfrey Drox on the list as a Master of the Lance. Called "the Ox".

Um...do our surviving redshirts -get- master status now that they're not redshirts?

I hesitate to do that, because then every one will backdoor NPC's with great skills. Unless it is a PC or Sec, I define their skills.
