The Great Hall is prepared for a feast, servants doing this and that. The Tully blue, red, and silver fly proudly on the walls of the hall.

There is a horn at the gates. A rider is outside on a tired chestnut horse, wrapping his thick, heavy cloak around him against the nippy wind. The messenger carries the royal standard.

The rider is taken to Lord Tully, and his horse stabled.

Lord Tully greets all his lords personally as they arrive at Riverrun. They are led to the Great Hall, where a giant table of oak is placed in the center of the hall.
"My Lords, take your places at the table!" Pieter said to them, as servants showed them their spots. Pieter took his seat at the head of the table, and Lord Francis Blackwood, Lord Ryger, Lord Mallister and Lady Frey, Lord Smallwood and Lord Mooton were taken to seats on either side of him.
After everything had settled down, Pieter began. "My Lords and Ladies, how great it is to see you all assembled in a council of the Riverlands!" Pieter said smiling. "The goal of this council is to unite and rebuild the Riverlands into the greatest realm in Westeros!"

A polite clap came up from the lords, along with a few cheers of "Tully!"

Pieter smiled slightly when a few cheers and claps sounded, but for the most part tried to remain unemotional.
"First topic on the agenda, is the Frey Rebellion." Pieter said, quietly but strongly. "I will not stand for rebellion! Rebellion against me is nothing short of rebellion against the Riverlands itself." Pieter waited a moment to let his words sink in.
"An extensive investigation was lead, and all the men found to be involved are to be hanged at midday. I highly recommend you all attend." Pieter said, hinting that he was ordering them all to be there.
"As for the fate of The Twins, you will remain the steward until such time that your son is old enough to rule, Lady Frey."

When Lord Tully had a moment, the messenger gave him a letter sealed with the stag of House Baratheon. "From Princess Selyse, my lord," the messenger said, and bowed.

Pieter had taken the letter shortly before beginning the council, and thanked the messenger. He wrote a letter and gave it to the messenger to return to Princess Selyse.

With murmured thanks, the messenger bowed deeply to Lord Tully, and left on quiet, quick feet.

Lady Frey was calm watching the squabbling men.

As Lord Pieter speaks about the Twins Kayla stands, "Thank you for the Lord Tully but I do ask something of you. There is still much... talk through out the crossing I was hoping you could give me some guards from Riverrun to help."

Pieter nodded. "Yes, you shall have all the men you require. Would 100 men be enough, or do you require more?" Pieter asked.
"I also wish for you to seek out any more rebellious people and bring them to justice."

"I shall do all in my power to keep rebellion out of the Twins. And yes 100 men shall be plenty."

Pieter nodded and smiled. "Thank you Lady Frey. You are doing a great service to the Riverlands." He gave her a lingering look, to impress the weight of the compliment upon her.
"Fellow lords, now is the time for the Riverlands to rejoin Westeros! For too long we have been disarrayed, squabbling over Blackwoods and Tullys, of differing opinions, of lingering hatreds! But I give you now a chance to put all that aside, so that we may lead the Riverlands back into the grand stage of Westeros! Every lord who kneels before me and pledges his loyalty shall be henceforth forgiven of any past sins, and seen as naught but proud and loyal Riverlanders." Pieter finished and looked around to see what sort of reaction he would receive.
