All major houses (i.e. named families in this game) should name their banner houses here. I will use the list to generate various NPC characters that people can play at the Tourney--gotta get more women into this game somehow! Mark if they already have a geneology in the Bannerhouse geneology thread. Feel free to add any houses from GRRM that haven't come up yet in LoW as well as ones that have already been discussed.

Copy and pasted from the Citadel (with a few minor changes), here is a complete list of Riverland Bannerhouses. The bolded ones are the ones that are major banner houses (may be wrong, based on how much they get mentioned in the books, basically)
LORD PARAMOUNT: House Blackwood of Raventree Hall - All Blackwood characters in main line
House Blackwood of Riverrun - Horas Blackwood & family House Blanetree House Bracken of the Stone Hedge - (No lord and no male heirs. It is quietly known that this house is essentially under direct Blackwood control, and a loyal follower will be betrothed to the eldest Bracken woman for the lordship) House Charlton House Darry of Darry House Deddings House Erenford House Frey of the Crossing House Goodbrook House Grell House Haigh House Hawick of Saltpans House Keath - Ser Kennos Keath (deceased) House Lolliston House Lychester House Mallister of Seagard - Lucas Mallister (deceased), Lord Erryk Mallister House Mooton of Maidenpool House Paege House Piper of Pinkmaiden House Roote of Lord Harroway's Town House Ryger of Willow Wood -- Lord Tristane Ryger House Shawney House Smallwood of Acorn Hall House Terrick House Vance of Atranta House Vance of Wayfarer's Rest -- Damien Vance House Vypern House Wayn House Wode

That's just in ASOIAF. During A Game of Thrones they were still there - Robert stayed with them on the way north to Winterfell.

I thought I recalled the Darry's were an average house that supported the Targaryens. If they had been a major one it might have turned the other way ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

As for Houses which haven't yet appeared, I'd like to see more Dragonstone Houses (apart from Velaryon which we've seen already) Maybe some Celtigar claws or a member of House Sunglass ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
