Character Personal History: Mathis Florent is the nephew of lord Alphonse. His mother, Meralyn Volentin, is a Braavosi noble and Mathis spent a part of his life in Braavos. When he was sixteen he went there to squire for his grandfather, lord Nephito Volentin. He learned how to use a sword from waterdancers and how to use words from Braavosi statesmen. His grandfather wanted to teach him to command ships, but Mathis knew that he could never use that knowledge. He asked lord Volentin to teach him land combat, but the old man couldn't do that, so he hired tutors from Norvos and Pentos. For the cunning he showed at court and for the banner his men waved, Mathis was called the Fox.
Mathis recently returned to Westeros and now lord Alphonse is searching for powerful women to marry him to.
Character Physical Description: Mathis favours his mother a lot more than his father, which means he is one of the rare Florents without the weird ears. He has short black hair and green eyes.
