Benfry charges into their midst, sword held high. He slashes from a high guard, catching the Champion of the East across the shoulder, and slashes upwards to cut deep into the Champion of the North's Leg. Buckwell steps forward, axe swinging, but the Envoy is faster, and cuts him deep across the thigh.

Benfry sees Jarmen get hit, and howls in rage, his sword darting in and taking big drinks of Basilisk blood with every stroke. He hopes to finish these bastards and get to that Envoy while Jarmen stands.

"Why... won't... you die!" Benfry grunted as he slipped his sword deep into the Champion of the East's neckguard. He gurgled, and spit blood, but stayed afoot. His counterpart from the North attacked again, but Benfry blocked it with an armored forearm, and stabbed him in the chest.
Meanwhile Buckwell was struggling to keep his axe up against the darting, slashing Envoy. He took another wound, and was beginning to slow badly now.

Benfry buried his blade into the Champion of the East's face, and than withdrew it from the mush and buried it into the Champion of the North. He saw the lights go out in their eyes, and turned to help his friend.

Just as Buckwell brought his Axe down on the Envoy's left arm, cutting it deep.

More Enemy men rushed into the Great hall of Maegor's Holdfast, Each hoping for a piece of the Lord Commander.

Four men in Black Basilisk armor charged Benfry before he could turn and put his blade into the Envoy. The Lord Commander blocked the first man's attack, and than counter attacked, slashing three of the four heavily. Ser Jarmen took another cut on his arm, but the man shrugged it off.

Jarmen took another cut, and screamed like a banshee. Benfry turned his head ever so slightly, to watch the Envoy yanking his halberd out of Ser Jarmen's tattered pink cloak.

Distracted, he felt the bite of steal across his shield arm, cutting deep. Grunting in pain, he lashed out, but the enemy was too quick, and avoided his blows. As a Basilisk thought he saw an opening and moved in, Benfry replied with a short jab into the man's bowels. He was not done yet.

Benfry felt another blow strike his left side, as he was unable to keep his shield up now. He looked down, with puzzlement, at the white cloaked arm, clutching a white shield, lying beside him on the stone floor.

"You bastards!" He cut deep into their ranks, slashing and cutting, and delivering more wounds to these implacable, faceless enemies.

Benfry saw his friend and comrade fall, and howled in rage, He cut his way through three of the men, till he reached the Enemy General.

The lieutanants hold back, as The Envoy raises his hand to stop them from attacking. The one-armed Lord Commander kept his sword in front of him, parrying the Envoy's halberd. when he saw an opening he took it, slicing the man deeply across the bowels.

The Envoy grunted and tried to hold his bowels in. Benfry laughed to himself, and drove the blade in deeper this time, before withdrawing it. "Are you learning yet?"

The man sputtered something in his foreign devil tongue, before Benfry had heard enough, and brought his blade down, to take the man's head at the shoulder.

"Whose next?" He asked.

The Basilisks, hundreds of them. charged... cutting and stabbing.

Benfry Smith had been alot of things in his short life. First he had been a blacksmith, and than a hedge knight. He had risen to serve as a protector of a King and finally as that boy's Regent.

Benfry Smith had been many things while he lived.

But he died a hero.
