He turned to Patrek and said "Pat, we'll camp here for tonight and move into Lannisport in the morning" Patrek nodded then grimaced, "Aye... Has there been any mentions of the foreigners bringing in settlers?" Brandon stood nearby nursing his sore behind and cursed in nearly all the languages he could speak.

Danwell shook his head and sucked off the flesh from a wingbone, smacking his lips. "No - my guess is that this is just the invasion force. I guess we'll see settlers much later, if at all. We're only guessing that this is a war of conquest after all. That's one of the things the Lord Regent asked me to find one" he picked a piece of duckmeat from between his teeth with a dirty finger.

Patrek grunted, then took a bite of some of the meat he had gotten hold of. "Not too farfetched that. Let us hope this is the largest part of the army". Patrek grimaced again then spat, "If this is just the first wave.."

"If this is just the first wave, we're all fucked and you know it Pat. We could be fucked anyway as it stands" Danwell replied with seeming unconcern. He burped loudly "Haven't eaten better in weeks. Good job, Maxwell. Them rabbits look a bit stringy, but they'll do to break our fast tomorrow" he stood and stretched his back "Gods I need a piss" he grumbled as he headed over to the woods

"I doubt it," Brandon said. "There's no mention of land to the West after all. They must have travelled a long way to get here. If an empire have enough resources to send even more men, we probably would have heard about that empire before".
Patrek sat down at Danwell's words, "I hope they have enough ale in Lannisport".

Max smiles at the compliment, he then lays down and looks up at the clouds. Wish I had some wine and a woman on top of me. O'Well might as well make the best of what you've got Maxy.

Gawyn finished his meal and returned to his watch post for the night.

Danwell came back from his absolutions in the forest and checked up on the horses to make sure they were fed and watered and then he rolled up and went to sleep until it was his turn on the watch.

Patrek too went to sleep, while Brandon sat near the fire staring deeply into the flames. In his mind he saw a burning courtyard, a woman with a man's face and an armless girl howling in pain. "R'hllor give me strenght," he thought before he too went to sleep.

// Dawn came, and Gawyn, who had slept little, went around the camp waking each of his companions in turn.

ooc: I've created a thread for the Lannisport section so we'll finish up here and start there shortly.
Danwell yawned and sneezed suddenly as his moustache tickled his nose. He sat upright and rubbed at his face sheepishly.

//////////////
Fifteen men on swift horses pull up short before the ashes of a fire. Their leader, a dark-skinned Dornishman, looks at trails on the ground with unreadable eyes, then orders the group to halt.
An eagle swirls down upon the troop, a skinny hare gripped in its talons. The men had grown used to their leader's eagle, and many thought of it as a lucky totem. Though it was damned strange the way it came and went on its own accord, and sometimes the men could have sworn it was watching them with something like intelligence in its eyes.
"Nearly there," the Dornish leader says.

Maxwell got up with groggily and packed his stuff. He hopped on his horse and waited for everyone else.
