From now on, I will be just posting the combined scores (the skill plus the roll).
(FOR TOURNEYS) If the difference is...
0-10 there is no real damage done 11-25 it is a minor hit 26-50 it is an average hit 51-100 it is a heavy hit 101+ it is potentially a fatal blow
With that score (the difference) in mind, please write a short blurb on what happens to your character. (I just don't have time to write up things for everyone).

Are the chances of a fatal blow decreased in a fight with tourney lances and blunted swords? If not, it looks like we'll have an extremely high rate of death in tourneys.

Not at all. I'll give you a sample. If an expert is facing off against an apprentice, the expert would start with 75 and the apprentice, with 60. The Expert would have to roll near perfect, and the Apprentice would have to roll a complete disaster to get killed...
But I will keep what you said in mind.

Oh, I got it, I missed the bit about the difference between the two scores. Still, perhaps death could be less common with blunted weapons, with unconsciousness as an in-between option.

Aye, I've changed it somewhat and will give personal updates to each match.
I also expect players to post their own blurbs of what occurred during the round.

Are there any benefits, for being expert spear-fighter? After all, spear is very similiar to lance.

Probably not, in fairness it will likely be considered the same as swordsmanship (in this tourney).

Ok, thanks for the information, now all I have to do is challenge someone.
