During a meeting of the small council, Ser Betram Selmy bursts in through the door. Before anyone can comment on this interuption he yells,
"My Lords, Prince Rodrick, he's missing... I fear something has happened to him!"

Alexander looks shocked, "What! How?" he shouted at Ser Betram. "Has the Prince just gone out exploring or is it something more severe." Alexander looked around at the others, Prince Rodrick was a pain in the ass but he was still the King's Brother, the trick now was to determine whether the boy was just playing one of his games or something more serious had happened.

"I was standing at the door of his chambers Milord, when I heard a sudden bumping sound. I tried to open the door, but it was locked from the inside. Some King's Men assisted me in forcing it open, and I found his highness gone, and his room a shambles. I fear foul play Lord Irwyn. I've already ordered the Red Keep searched, but we've found no one."

Alex looked uncomfortably, "How long was the Prince out of your sight before you gained entry? Have we started our search for the passages behind the walls?" Alex did not put it beyond the Prince to fake abduction and try and go out on his own although that seemed unlikely at the moment.

"I know there are passages in the walls Lord Irwyn, but I didn't know of any in his highness' chambers."

Erik just starts laughing.
"I first met the young prince in a whorehouse. I doubt this is anything serious, he's likely just snuck off to have a good time. Boys will be boys, after all."

Alex looked at Erik, "Your probably right but there has been a lot of strange things in the past few years so I don't want to dismiss this as boyish pranks just yet." He turned back to Ser Selmy, Please tell me that there were no Red Daggers in the room?" Alex says hoping to avoid his worse fears. "Or other symbols perhaps left by the perpetrators?"

"No milord, no sign, things tossed about and knocked over, like there was some kind of a struggle." The Kingsguard pulled at his white wool cloak unhappily. Losing a charge was a terrible embarrassment.

Alexander looked at the King, "Well do what you must to track the Prince down and find who is responsible. We need to find him sooner then later." Alex looks at the other members of the small council, "I think this information needs to stay quiet for the mean time, no need to fuel a panic but we should double the guards in the Red Keep for the short while."

"I fear my brother is not playing this time." King Rickon said, "He has not suggested to me that he had any game up his sleeve, and usually he can't contain his glee. Please do your best to restore him to us."

The Lord Hand nodded, "well perhaps their is still time, the assailants would have had to leave some trace on how they entered the Keep and Lord Tallahar can notify the Gold Cloaks to be on the look out for people trying to exit the city. Might as well post a watch on the sewer too as I know personally that it is a weakness of the city."

Benfry looked concerned "We need to involve our Mistress of Whispers and her informants in this. I am disturbed that there are still passages within our own walls we cannot account for and I do not want the same thing to happen to King Rickon. Your pardon your grace, but for now I believe that we must have at least 2 of the Kingsguard with you at all times. I will see to similar arrangements for Queen Jeyne. I can only imagine the disaster had it been you taken, and not your brother"

Elena shook her head,
"All of the passages are accounted for, Lord Regent. But it has never been... custom, to inform every sergeant of the guard where they were. We will investigate."

Benfry frowned at Elena "It is a failing in your profession to keep secrets even from your allies. I pray this does not result in the death of a royal prince. I am not speaking of telling every captain of the guard about these passages but I will have whatever information you hold on them, Lady Elena or I swear by the Seven I will personally take a sledgehammer to the walls and find them myself!"

"As you wish, I shall prepare a through report of their locations." Elena said reservedly.
