"There is no reason to speak of it. There was no consequence. This child is not your Timm, and if I ever so much as see you looking at her the wrong way, I will have you killed slowly and painfully." She threatened in a low hiss.

"What way is the wrong Tristeza?" He asked coldly, "How do you think I should treat your babe?"

"I expect you not to treat her at all." Tristeza seethed as she eased herself back into the rocker, and returned her eyes to the window, this time with a stubborn scowl.

Timm glared, and then turned and stalked out, "Eat. For the baby."

Tristeza knocked the tray to the ground angrily, and openly defiant. She crossed her arms, and glared darkly through the window.

---------
The night was a bleak one, full of rain and clouds when Tristeza felt her first contraction. It woke her from a restless slumber, wrenching her mind from the long missing face of her first child, and pulling her with a fury into the reality of her second. A bastard child--she entered the waking world with a resounding groan as she doubled over onto herself in her bed.

Suddenly Timm was beside her reaching down to comfort her, "Would you like some water?" Standing straight he yelled at the door, "Fredrio get the Doctor." He poured her a glass of water and tried to force her to drink.

Tristeza shook her head violently, trying to focus on anything but the pain. When it subsided she gasped "Sergyo," and when she had further caught her breath she said more audibly "Get Sergyo."

Timm stepped back and looked at the door. "I am sure one of the guards is already on his way." Moving forward he offered her the glass of water again.

"Send one for sure," Tristeza groaned, sounding more tired than pained now, "Get him quickly." she pleaded, waving the water away again.

Timm walked to the door and talked to the guard who then rushed off. Timm ran back to the bed and nodded to her.

"Is he coming?" she asked looking up expectantly as Timm returned. The pain was beginning again, and though her eyes were wide with anxiety, her face soon contorted with the agony.

Timm nodded sourly, "But I am here for you now. So what can I do? What do you want?"

Tristeza shook her head as this new contraction passed, "I am fine," she said, digging her fingers into the sheets.

Timm took her hand to offer support and knelt on the floor by the bed.
