Yes. And I will fuck him up the ass if he keeps at it. Rhodri is a little smarter than he thinks.

Okay, until we resolve this intrigue with Barret, no Royces wander around alone. Ever. He thought you were alone, so he showed up with five men, five on one. Quite deliberate on his part.
We have an 'evil' character in our midst, and we are going to have to be very wary of him.

I wouldn't bother with the following/killing stuff. As you can see from the OOC thread, he's suddenly feeling picked upon and ruffling his feathers.

I have too many various guises. I keep losing track of them. I haven't done a thing with Ser Emmitt since introducing him, even though I intended him on being an asshole enforcer type. That and I'm getting cranky about certain storylines.

But I had something else in mind for him first. Anyway, right now I have to run off and make dinner.

Eh, it's just the situation with Barret leaving a nasty taste in my mouth, on a couple levels. Now all of a sudden all of my characters have to wander around with guards or expect to get hassled by random Reach knights...pain in the ass, and out of the blue.
All based on a supposed enmity that's been a non-issue for two months of RL time and 7 or so years of game time. I have a better sense of why that's happening now than before, but it's still leaving me turned off -- maybe even more so.
That, and I have no idea what to do about certain leadership issues we're facing, and what to do about the Blackwood situation...
I think I'm also juggling to many characters, making me feel frazzled. To a certain degree I feel it's necessary, but I'm going to start pulling my arms back in to just Rhodri/Selwyn/Yohn most of the time.

They blackwood situation is wierd, I don't know when they became the target of every one.
The Barret thing while annoying was really never of a danger, in the Red Keep there is very, very small chance of being kidnapped.
I know what you are talking about though, it is hard to keep players in check sometimes. But I will try my best... that is all I can offer. If you have any specific suggestions you can PM them to me. Or drop them in the council folder.

Or drop them in the council folder. I kinda thought you were the source of the Blackwood thing. I guess I'm really offbase on where that is coming from. As for Barret, well, I agree it should be very hard to kidnap someone out of the Red Keep. But he's shown up with hooded men at the Tower of the Hand, he's leered at my children in the Godswood, he's sent me threatening messages via raven and now hassled Aranya. He clearly thinks he can get someone out of the Red Keep, and he clearly has it in for Royce. The issue is if you're offline, he probably could get away with it, since I imagine he'll just keep coming up with these things every time we're alone -- but with either more men in tow, or just kill someone instead of kidnapping. Whatever protestations he put in the OOC thread, his guys were clearly looking to make trouble in the Godswood thread. It wasn't even subtle. I'll say this to my kinfolk right now: instead of inventing our own deus ex machina when this happens (which the 20 men kinda were), if it seems he's trying to slip something like that, don't reply until the Smith is back on to adjudicate.

Yeah that is the best course of action. Sometimes these situations barrel out of control when I am away. If you ever need me to rule just stop posting, and PM or drop a note in the Smith's request folder.
And the blackwood thing is a multi players, its like a perfect storm hit their family. But I probably already said too much on that.

I think things will cool off with Barret. He and I hashed things out in chat. Whatever machinations he's got going may continue in game, but he reassured me he isn't actually hostile. In other words, let's still be careful, but we needn't be pissed off at him OOC.
As for the Blackwoods, jeez, this will be quite the mess to untangle then. I still have no idea where the bloody daggers came from, and that was the first problem!
