I have suspected the knight of the black lily is Lance Sands for a while. I hope I'm right - the knight of red squares is quite good too. And Aranya is enjoying Ser Vance, but she isn't going to just sleep with him. ;D I kind of miss the days when she was this wild, carefree, lively, mischievous girl who preyed on men. But I can't turn her back into that immediately. Maybe sooner than later, though. Vance might come back sniffing around if you decide in time to loosen your skirt . You're right -- she can't do that immediately, but her appetite won't go away... As I said when I first made Vance, too bad Mally isn't around.

He wasn't demanding, actually, the conversation was very pleasant. He wistfully said that someday he hoped to have land make a family, and I offered the old Upcliff tower. He wasn't pushy in the slightest, but I do think he used it to get a better offer from Barret.

Aranya: I need you to take Alla Hunter on as a lady in waiting or something -- so she'll go to with you to Duskendale. That way Marten will follow her there instead of following Elena and Rhodri to the Eyrie.
But be a little subtle about it -- I don't want it obvious that I'm trying to get rid of Marten. Frankly, I do like Marten, and we need to court his friendship. But I don't want him coming to the Eyrie with us right now.

On a serious note, yeah, if people think that she's slept with Vance, then she'll be treated as suddenly open game -- even though she just wanted a one time thing to get the stress out. Vance will continue hitting on Aranya whenever opportunity presents. If she wants to relent in secrecy, just PM her reply. It would be amusing if she was suddenly came out wearing a brand new diamond.

Vance might see if he can make Marten jealous...but Alla shouldn't be too interested, might turn Marten off. Just amused .

On the plus side, it's a good think Emelia wasn't online because now she would want to kill Vance to keep him off Aranya.
On the negative side, it's a bad thing Emelia isn't online to have Benedicta follow up with Roland.

I'd like to play Roland into Benedicta's depths. What!? Sorry, briefly posessed by a certain Knight of Diamonds.
On a general note, what rate should I work training scenarios and the like into? Also, anyone know what the mix of jousting and riding skills are used in a joust? I seemed to do okay, which I figure was a bit of a benefit of the riding skill I had, but have no skill whatsoever in jousting, hehe.

Check with the Smith to find out how he ranks those abilities. When I first made Rhodri, I gave him high riding, jousting and fighting skills, but I've never been sure how that worked out statistically. I don't know that you need a separate jousting skill from riding.

Reading what I wrote there one of my questions was really unclear... how often are we able to post up scenarios for things like training? I mean, we're not powerlevelling in some MMORPG here... and I figure character advancement isn't strictly the goal, storytelling being rather the focus.

Different players do it differently. Spamming training scenarios is pretty dorky. I've always tried to make every training scenario I write a bit different and a bit distinctive, but that also means I do them rarely. I'll tick over to Grandmaster next time I do one though, so I really ought to. Maybe Roland and Rhodri should spar before I leave the city? Have him test out his younger cousin?
