Good idea. Frankly, an adult bastard not raised in the Vale would have a hard time being accepted anyway, but letting him live gives Breyn an "in" if he wants to come back. I liked Breyn, and I'm sorry he disappeared. But this is like having the unclaimed Alyn all over again. And no sign he's coming back -- I've never spotted him browsing the board or anything.

It would make it all so simple if Breyn reappears and Brandon is waiting there for him to enter...I think we should make him work a little harder, give us something to wrangle over, if he gets back. This translates in having Brandon disappear somewhere at the same time that Breyn gets killed off.

Okay, in the chaos, the House of Runes is sacked, some unconfirmed witnesses say by Dragon Men (gives us leeway if we need to change course). Perhaps whispers that Breyn was removed at Hand in part at Aedon's urging, they did not get along. Breyn is found dead, but there is no sign of Brandon.

Aranya and Skag can speak to Rhodri, on the pretext of the House of Runes. And I'm okay with little Brandon disappearing unaccountably, until Breyn returns (if he returns). And I'm okay with Rhodri becoming Lord Royce of the Vale in that case.

We're going to have nobody left at this rate... I'm glad I've already been on holiday or I might get back and find myself dead and buried in my absence. Remind me never to get on your bad side! ;D But yeah we could probably do away with Jon pretty easily.

I think Jon could stay around--if he's disappeared, he's not getting in anyone's way. The guy who played Jon struck me as young and better at doing young warrior things than pseudo lordly things.
